20110120342MOVING PLATFORM ON RAIL VEHICLE - A rail vehicle having a single frame assembly and a movable platform coupled thereto is provided. The rail vehicle indexes, i.e. advances intermittently, along railroad rails. The movable platform advances in a single direction at a generally steady speed as the rail vehicle indexes along a railroad. The platform is the floor of, or a base for, a cabin preferably having a seat, roof support, and controls for the operator. The platform rides longitudinally with the machine on rollers or slides, thus separating the operator and controls from the rest of the machine. Thus, while the rail vehicle moves in an abrupt stop-and-go manner, the platform and the operator move generally consistently in a single direction.05-26-2011
20120004795DRONE TAMPER - A drone vehicle for performing maintenance on a railway system is provided. A drone vehicle control system is structured to utilize tie position data to position a drone vehicle workhead over at least a portion of a respective tie. The drone vehicle control system is further structured to actuate the drone vehicle workhead. The drone vehicle may be controlled by a drone vehicle control system linked, preferably by wireless communications, to a lead vehicle and a lead vehicle control system. The lead vehicle control system and the drone vehicle control system are structured to communicate with each other, with the lead vehicle control system providing the tie position data to the drone vehicle control system.01-05-2012

20110100643DOWNHOLE SUB WITH HYDRAULICALLY ACTUABLE SLEEVE VALVE - A method for opening a port through the wall of a ported sub including: providing a sub with a port through its tubular side wall; providing a hydraulically actuable valve to cover the port, the valve being actuable to move away from a position covering the port to thereby open the port; increasing pressure within the sub to create a pressure differential across the valve to move the valve toward the low pressure side, while the port remains closed by the valve; thereafter, reducing pressure within the sub to reduce the pressure differential; and driving the valve to move it away from a position covering the port.05-05-2011
20110278017SLIDING SLEEVE SUB AND METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WELLBORE FLUID TREATMENT - A tubing string assembly is disclosed for fluid treatment of a wellbore The tubing string can be used for staged wellbore fluid treatment where a selected segment of the wellbore is treated, while other segments are sealed off The tubing string can also be used where a ported tubing string is required to be run-m in a pressure tight condition and later is needed to be in an open-port condition A sliding sleeve in a tubular has a driver selected to be acted upon by an inner bore conveyed actuating device, the driver drives the generation of a ball stop on the sleeve.11-17-2011

20110082792Processing of Credit Card Transactions Using Internet Protocol - A system for processing credit card transactions is disclosed. Merchant locations include at least one Internet protocol (IP) capable credit card terminal, either connected directly to a wide area network such as the Internet, or connected to the Internet via a router. The IP-capable credit card terminal forwards transaction information over the Internet, and biometric information regarding the presenting customer if desired and if available, which is processed by a credit card processing system. According to one embodiment of the invention, the credit card processing system is an IP credit card gateway processor, which formats the transaction information into a conventional format for processing by a credit card processor. According to another embodiment of the invention, the credit card processing system is a Direct IP credit card processor, which receives the IP transaction information, and biometrics if available, from the credit card terminal and which processes and communicates the information direction to the credit card issuer. Authorization of the transaction is then communicated by the credit card processing system over the Internet to the credit card terminal, so that the transaction is completed.04-07-2011

20100153583SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DELIVERING CUSTOMIZED CONTENT TO MOBILE DEVICES - The illustrative embodiment of the present invention provides a platform that enables a content developer to distribute uniform content to multiple types of requesting mobile devices. By authoring content in a generic markup language and using the technologies included in the Mobile Content Framework (MCF), the content developer is able to provide content to multiple types devices without providing different versions of the content. The content may be authored originally in the generic markup language or translated from other languages into the generic markup language by the MCF. The MCF exploits the capabilities and accommodates the limitations of different types of wireless devices by converting generic markup language content to device-specific content. The MCF interacts with device registries holding records of the device attributes in order to provide the device-specific content. The MCF handles these issues for current mobile devices while also being extensible for future mobile devices.06-17-2010
