20110265519METHODS FOR SEPARATING GLASS SHEETS FROM CONTINUOUS GLASS RIBBONS - Methods for separating glass sheets from glass ribbons are disclosed. One method includes forming a glass ribbon having a curvature in a lateral direction. A conformable nosing is engaged with a first surface of the glass ribbon such that the conformable nosing conforms to the curvature of the glass ribbon. The glass ribbon is scored along a scoring line on a second surface of the glass ribbon. The conformable nosing is then at least partially disengaged from the first surface of the glass ribbon by adjusting a bow of the conformable nosing. A bending moment is applied to the glass ribbon to separate a glass sheet from the glass ribbon at the scoring line. Application of the bending moment conforms the curvature of the glass ribbon to the bow of the conformable nosing prior to the glass sheet separating from the glass ribbon.11-03-2011

20100212360APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRAWING A RIBBON OF GLASS - Apparatus and method for balancing the mass flow rate of molten glass flowing over a forming body to form a glass ribbon. The apparatus comprises upper and lower transition members that surround the glass ribbon as the glass ribbon is drawn from the forming body. The upper and lower transition members are independently moveable, and separated by a gap less than 8 cm across. The narrow gap minimizes disruption to the thermal environment contained within the upper and lower transition members, and is positioned a sufficient distance above the setting zone of the ribbon to minimize any influence on the dimensional consistency of the ribbon.08-26-2010
20110289969APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THICKNESS OF A FLOWING RIBBON OF MOLTEN GLASS - In the formation of sheet material from molten glass, a cooling tube is positioned in the forming area for directing a flow of cooling gas on discrete portions of the molten glass proximate a draw line or root to control local thickness variations in the sheet and thereby provide a uniform glass sheet thickness across the width of the sheet. The cooling tube is disposed in a pivot member configured to rotate about at least one axis, thereby causing an end of the cooling tube to direct the cooling gas over a wide range of angular positions across a portion of the width of the molten glass flowing over and from a forming body.12-01-2011

20090319942Context Sensitive Paging - The invention addresses the need to view an entire document element, such as a photograph, paragraph, etc. when paging. A window generated by an application such as a browser includes a succession of document elements. The window has an actual top and an actual bottom. The computer system selects a paging step size automatically, wherein the paging step size is selected from a group. The group includes a first step size that is of a size such that paging downward by the first step size from the current window position advances the window to a location placing the top of the at least one document element a predetermined distance below the top of the window.12-24-2009
20100029304DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND SYSTEM - A data transmission method and system. The method includes transmitting by a first wireless communication device to a second wireless communication device, first voice data associated with a first user. The first wireless communication device receives from the second wireless communication device, a verbal request for receiving text data. The first wireless communication device retrieves the text data. The first wireless communication device generates a transaction data object comprising the text data and a command for executing an executable program for performing an action with respect to the text data on the second wireless communication device. The first wireless communication device simultaneously transmits second voice data and the transaction data object to the second wireless communication device.02-04-2010
20100115583METHOD FOR FAULT-TOLERANT USER INFORMATION AUTHENTICATION - A method for user information authentication which includes setting user information for a user account, such user information being the set user information; inputting user information by a user for the user account into a device, such user information being the input user information; evaluating the input user information for correspondence with the set user information according to fault-tolerant user information rules, wherein such rules evaluate the input user information for content and closeness to the set user information and noting if the input user information is a valid user information, a fault-tolerant user information, or an invalid user information; authorizing access to the user account if the input user information is a valid user information. In one embodiment of the invention, the method includes incrementing an invalid user information counter only if the user information is an invalid user information. In another embodiment of the invention, the method includes providing a message to the user if the user information is a fault-tolerant user information, the message being descriptive of the input user information's correspondence with the fault tolerant user information rules.05-06-2010
20100146606AUTHENTICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM - An authentication method and system. A computing system generates an authentication table associated with a user. The computing system receives first authentication data and second authentication data differing from the first authentication data. The first authentication data and the second authentication data are placed in the authentication table. The authentication table comprising the first authentication data and the second authentication data is stored in the computing system. The computing system generates an action table. The computing system receives first action data and second action data and places the first action data and the second action data in the action table.
