20110097797Modular Functional Peptides for the Intracellular Delivery of Nanoparticles - Described are peptides for delivery of a nanoparticle to the cytosol, the peptide comprising: (a) a nanoparticle association domain; (b) a proline-rich spacer domain; (c) an uptake domain; and (d) a vesicle escape domain comprising a non-hydrolyzable lipid moiety, wherein the spacer domain is between the nanoparticle association domain and the uptake and vesicle escape domains, and wherein the peptide, when attached to an extracellular nanoparticle, is effective to induce uptake of the nanoparticle by a cell and delivery of the nanoparticle to the cytosol of the cell. Also described are methods of delivery of a nanoparticle to the cytosol of a cell, the method comprising providing to a cell a nanoparticle attached to such a peptide. Exemplary nanoparticles include quantum dots.04-28-2011

20080216948Hand-Mouldable Material - A method of providing a self-adhesive mouldable hand grip comprises mixing: a) a first component comprising room temperature vulcanising silicone composition; and b) a second component, one of the first and second components comprising a moist, powdered filler, and the other of the first and second components comprising a hydrolysable cross-linking agent, to produce a self-adhesive RTV silicone elastomer composition, applying the RTV moisture cure silicone elastomer composition to a substrate, and moulding it by hand to form a grip.09-11-2008
20090134551Mouldable material - A method of providing a self-adhesive mouldable pad comprises mixing: a) a first component comprising room temperature vulcanising silicone composition; and b) a second component, one of the first and second components comprising a moist, powdered filler, and the other of the first and second components comprising a hydrolysable cross-linking agent, to produce a self-adhesive RTV silicone elastomer composition, applying the RTV moisture cure silicone elastomer composition to a substrate, and moulding it by hand to form a pad.05-28-2009
20100144961ROOM TEMPERATURE CURABLE SILICONE ELASTOMER COMPOSITION - By preparing a one part silicone RTV composition with a high initial uncured plasticity, specifically a Williams plasticity of from 80 to 900 mm, formulations can be prepared that are easy and convenient for consumers to mould into a variety of shapes, which, once moulded, will hold their shape exactly during cure without slump or flow.06-10-2010

20100184643Methods and Compounds Regulating the Erythroid Response to Iron Deficiency - The present invention discloses the signaling pathway involved in erythroid repression by iron deficiency. Further disclosed is a non-toxic small-molecule compound which potently reverses the erythroid repression caused by iron deficiency. The present invention further encompasses novel compounds for inhibition of red cell production, useful, for example, in the treatment of polycythemia vera, a malignancy causing uncontrolled red cell production. These inhibitory compounds also promote megakary-ocytic lineage commitment and may therefore be useful for augmentation of platelet production. The present invention further discloses isocitrate reversal of iron deprivation.07-22-2010
