20080300777COMPUTER-CONTROLLED POWER WHEELCHAIR NAVIGATION SYSTEM - A wheelchair navigation system for a motorized wheelchair includes dual cameras, proximity sensors, microphones, and rotation sensors for the wheels. Small markers are placed on the walls of a location or room. The navigation system uses the proximity sensors, rotation sensors and cameras in conjunction with the specialized software to determine where objects or impediments are located in the room and thereby redirect the path of the wheelchair so as to avoid such objects. The wheelchair is walked through the marked location thereby ‘teaching’ various paths which are recorded in the computer and recalled later when the wheelchair is in use. The proximity sensor perform sensing operations during performance of the teaching functions for thereby permitting avoidance of wheelchair collision with obstacles during navigation of the wheelchair through a taught trajectory and allowing for close approach of the wheelchair to solid bodies present during performance of the teaching functions.12-04-2008

20110076633SELF-LIGATING ORTHODONTIC BRACKET - A self-ligating orthodontic bracket has an archwire slot, two outer tracks extending in an occlusal-gingival direction on the outer lateral surfaces of the bracket, and a vertical trough extending in an occlusal-gingival direction between the outer tracks. A clip has two parallel outer arms and a central tongue between the outer arms. The outer tracks of the bracket slidably engage the outer arms of the clip and the central tongue is slidably engaged by the vertical trough of the bracket, thereby allowing the clip to slidably move between an open position in which the outer arms of the clip are retracted from the archwire slot to allow an archwire to be placed into the archwire slot, and a closed position in which the outer arms of the clip extend across the archwire slot to retain the archwire in the archwire slot.03-31-2011

20120105585IN-HOME DEPTH CAMERA CALIBRATION - A system and method are disclosed for calibrating a depth camera in a natural user interface. The system in general obtains an objective measurement of true distance between a capture device and one or more objects in a scene. The system then compares the true depth measurement to the depth measurement provided by the depth camera at one or more points and determines an error function describing an error in the depth camera measurement. The depth camera may then be recalibrated to correct for the error. The objective measurement of distance to one or more objects in a scene may be accomplished by a variety of systems and methods.05-03-2012

20100048095Electronic Speed Control Programming - A method and apparatus for programming an electronic speed controller for a radio controlled model including a programmer for interfacing a personal computer to the RX port of the electronic speed controller. The electronic speed controller software may be updated, modified or replaced through the RX port.02-25-2010
20120058675CONTROLLED DISCHARGE CONNECTOR LEAD - When a hobby enthusiast has recharged the battery for a remote controlled vehicle, such as a scale facsimile automobile, boat, helicopter or airplane, the battery must be connected again to the vehicle drive system, to provide power. This operation is typically performed by connecting each lead of an electronic speed controller to each corresponding lead of the battery, through a removable barrel receptacle lead and a mating barrel plug lead respectively, attached to each corresponding lead. An improved connector lead is described herein that protects components that may be attached to either lead in a connection. The charge dissipates in a resistive member that is physically coupled to a conductive member to form at least in part a first lead. When an improved lead is connected to a mating lead, the connection initially provides a charge dissipation path through the resistive member, but subsequently provides a bypass, current carrying conductive path around the resistive member from one component to another. By making use of an improved connector, electrical components are protected, not only from hot-swap current, but also from electrostatic discharge in general.03-08-2012

20090194274STATISTICAL DETERMINATION OF HISTORICAL OILFIELD DATA - A method, system, and computer program product for performing oilfield surveillance operations. The oilfield has a subterranean formation with geological structures and reservoirs therein. The oilfield is divided into a plurality of patterns, with each pattern comprising a plurality of wells. Historical production/injection data is obtained for the plurality of wells. Two independent statistical treatments are performed to achieve a common objective of production optimization. In the first process, wells and/or patterns are characterized based on Heterogeneity Index results and personalities with the ultimate goal of field production optimization. In the second process, the history of the flood is divided into even time increments. At least two domains for each of the plurality of wells are determined. Each of the at least two domains are centered around each of the plurality wells. A first domain of the at least two domains has a first orientation. A second domain of the at least two domains has a second orientation. An Oil Processing Ratio is determined for each of the at least two domains, then an Oil Processing Ratio Strength Indicator is calculated. At least one Meta Pattern within the field is then identified. An oilfield operation can then be guided based either on the well and/or pattern personality or the at least one Meta Pattern.08-06-2009
