20100120013PROCEDURE FOR LONG TERM CORNEAL CULTURE - A method for long-term multi-species cornea culture and preservation is provided. Excised mammalian corneas are preserved with structural integrity by filling the endothelial cavity with a plug material. Plugged corneas are sterile-cultured for more than 21 days via an air-interface culture where nutrients from a culture media are supplied to corneal tissue primarily through the plug. Plugged corneas are incubated in culture dishes with a customized media continuously in contact with the ocular sclera and corneal plug, and periodically bathing the corneal surface epithelia. An animal-alternative toxicology assay is also provided using excised porcine corneas capable of assessing ocular injury reversibility within 21 days. Further provided is a method of mammalian corneal preservation for excised human corneas extending their storage life to three to four weeks.05-13-2010

20080263589System and method using web database and video caching and streaming programming for video classified advertisements - The present application discloses a video classified advertisement web-enabled operation combining advertisements with videos specifically designed to advertise items and services for sale. The website, www.RealPeopleRealStuff.com, combines the methodology of Drupal modules, but not limited to Drupal open source modules, creates a content data model for video ads using such as Drupal's CCK module, converts most video formats, MPEG, QuickTime, and AVI, into flash (FLV) format using such as Drupal's FFMPEG module or maintain native video format if not convertible to flash format (FLV), creates a software routine that determines the most cost effective way to download videos, moves the video storage from the hosting servers to the Simple Storage Server (S3) such as Amazon S3 servers, creates an Application programming interface (API) between the hosting and storage servers, and simultaneously or later creates a category taxonomy for grouping ads for a video classified advertisement website. This present application presents a programming system that allows the seller to showcase the attributes of their product or service through video advertisements in a way that text and still photos cannot. This system provides sellers or businesses the ability to star in their own commercials appealing to their desire for celebrity. This application provides businesses a method to advertise via videos. This application's web interface allows users to post their video advertisements under uniquely named categories, which encourages users to be creative with their video ads. The present application allows users to schedule their frequency, track the effectiveness of their campaign(s), and pay for their advertisements without the assistance of a sales rep. Performing all these functions online, 24/7, is another distinct advantage over any known web-enabled service.10-23-2008

20090135309METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SPEEDING UP ATSC CHANNEL SEARCHING - A method of reducing channel scan time is achieved by knowing important location information such a zip code. This allows a locally stored database of available broadcast channels to be used to skip unused frequencies and to allow finding the direction of the most likely broadcast station. Once one active channel is located, it is possible to calculate the most likely direction to search for the remaining active channels in the data base using a smart antenna.05-28-2009
