20100267071SOLUTION PHASE HOMOGENEOUS ASSAYS - Methods, reagents, kits and systems are disclosed for determining an analyte in a sample suspected of containing the analyte where all reagents are soluble in aqueous solution. One assay method includes treating a sample suspected of containing the analyte under conditions such that if the analyte is present, an activator is brought into reactive configuration with a chemiluminescent compound to activates it. The sample is also treated with an agent to reduce signal not related to analyte. Finally, the sample is treated with a trigger solution thereby producing light from the activated chemiluminescent compound. No reagents are associated with a surface or other solid phase.10-21-2010

20100116806AUTOMATED HEATING SYSTEM FOR PORTS SUSCEPTIBLE TO ICING - An improved heating system air pressure sensing port. An example aircraft pitot tube heater uses Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) switching thermistors arranged to automatically sense the outside air temperature and heat to a design set point temperature. When a high outside air temperature is experienced, the pitot tube will not turn on. The pitot tube heater only turns on below the design set point and will consumes less current than the standard aircraft pitot tube heaters when operating at very cold temperatures. Virtually no current is drawn when the pitot tube increases past the set point, thus reducing the power drain on the aircraft system. The use of multiple thermistors gives the example pitot tube a level of failure redundancy that is not available in current pitot tube heaters.05-13-2010

20110277507METHODS OF PRODUCING GLASS SHEETS - Methods of producing a glass sheet comprise the step of fusion drawing a glass ribbon along a draw direction into a viscous zone downstream from a root of a forming wedge. The method further includes the steps of drawing the glass ribbon into a setting zone downstream from the viscous zone and an elastic zone downstream from the setting zone. The method also includes the step of creating a vacuum to force the entire lateral portion of the glass ribbon to engage an anvil portion of a breaking device in the elastic zone. The method still further includes the steps of forming a score line along the lateral portion of the glass ribbon and breaking away a glass sheet from the glass ribbon along the score line while the entire lateral portion is forced against the anvil portion by the vacuum.11-17-2011

20120010546Shoulder and Arm Orthosis - A shoulder and arm orthosis assembly for supporting at least one of a shoulder, arm, wrist and hand of a user. The orthosis assembly provides a sling with a shoulder strap, a wrist/hand orthosis, and a pillow support to hold the arm of the user away from the body. The sling has attached inner and outer portions that are configured to be detached and reattached with one another. The wrist/hand orthosis may be supported by the sling when the sling is closed and may be permitted to exit the sling when the sling is opened.01-12-2012
