20090038497Training stun grenade - A training stun gun consisting of a main valve body and a base cylinder which are screwed together and have a cavity therein. A CO2 cartridge is located in the cavity. The lower end of the main valve body has a piercing element therein that faces the top of the CO2 cartridge . When the two bodies are screwed together to a certain extent, the piercing element will pierce the top of the CO2 cartridge and release high pressure fluid. A valve assembly controls the release of the high pressure fluid to a burst diaphragm cap on top of the main valve body. The cap will burst and release the high pressure with an explosion-like noise. No pyro-technique is involved.02-12-2009

20110268909Process for Packaging Tacky Polyester Resins - A method for packaging plastic material using a film to surround the material, and more particularly to a method for packaging a copolyester, and the resulting package formed thereby. The method is preferably a coextrusion process for packaging an amorphous or semi-crystalline copolyester having a low glass transition temperature by extruding it through a die orifice, and coextruding a copolyester polymeric film having a high glass transition temperature to surround the low glass transition copolyester. The coated low glass transition copolyester may then be formed into individual packaged units having a finite size and shape.11-03-2011

20080247098Stressed magnetoresistive tamper detection devices - A tamper sensing system mounted with respect to a protected structure so as to have corresponding stress changes occur therein in response to selected kinds of tamperings with said protected structure comprising a first pair of stress affected magnetoresistive memory devices each capable of having a magnetic material layer therein established in a selected one of a pair of alternative magnetization states if in a first kind of stress condition and of being established in a single magnetization state if in an alternative second kind of stress condition, and the magnetic material layer in each having a magnetization in a first direction in one of the pair of alternative magnetization states and in a second direction in that remaining one of the pair of magnetization states. A first magnetizing electrical conductor extends adjacent to each of the first pair of stress affected magnetoresistive memory devices to establish said magnetic material layer in that one of said pair of alternative magnetization states thereof so as to have its said corresponding magnetization be oppositely directed with respect to said magnetization of that other. The first pair of stress affected magnetoresistive memory devices can each be provided by a spin dependent tunneling device having differing numbers of magnetization states available thereto depending on whether being in differing ones of alternative stress conditions10-09-2008
20090117370Vortex spin momentum transfer magnetoresistive device - A ferromagnetic thin-film based device that transitioned between alternative magnetic states thereof through having electrical currents established therethrough and has both a reference magnetization and a free layer magnetization provided therein by vortex magnetizations.05-07-2009
20100046282Cross-point magnetoresistive memory - A ferromagnetic thin-film based digital memory system having memory cells interconnected in a grid that are selected through voltage values supplied coincidently on interconnections made thereto for changing states thereof and determining present states thereof through suitable biasing of grid interconnections.02-25-2010

20120095190NOVEL VEGETABLE PROTEIN FRACTIONIZATION PROCESS AND COMPOSITIONS - According to the invention a novel vegetable protein fractionation procedure is disclosed which includes a straightforward process to obtain β-conglycinin-rich and glycinin-rich isolated protein fractions with unique functional and nutritional properties desired by the food industry. The process is much simplified compared to the art and avoids multiple steps in the usual fractionation of soy protein and uses very small amounts of salts avoiding the necessity of excessive washing and desalting steps. The process yields high amounts of protein fractions with high isoflavone contents and improved functional properties.04-19-2012

20110209347METHOD FOR REPAIRING A WIND TURBINE BLADE - A procedure for repairing subsurface defects in a shell member laminate of a wind turbine blade includes detecting the location and boundary of the subsurface defect and drilling a fill hole from an external surface of the laminate into the defect proximate to a boundary of the defect. A vent hole is drilled from the external surface of the laminate into the defect proximate to an opposite boundary from the fill hole. A flowable bonding material is injected into the fill hole until the bonding material flows from the vent hole. The repair zone is reinforced with at least one mechanical fastener defined through the laminate either within the boundary of the defect or outboard of the boundary of the defect.09-01-2011
