20090190987Label Supply and a Label Printer - A supply for a label printer comprising of an image receiving medium for receiving an image and tags for receiving digital information.07-30-2009
20110255100LABEL PRINTER - A label printer has a touchscreen for displaying and inputting label data, and comprising at least one input area. The label printer also has a hardware keyboard for inputting label data, and comprising at least one hardware key. The label printer also has control means arranged to control printing means for printing a label in accordance with label information. The label information is derived from a combination of label data input via the at least one hardware key of said hardware keyboard and label data input via the at least one input area of said touchscreen.10-20-2011
20110286012LABEL PRINTER - A label printer, comprising: input means operable by a user; display means; and control means connected to the input means and the display means. The control means are configured to control the display means to first display a header and a first image representative of a label; and, in response to receiving at the control means a signal indicative of an operation of the input means by a user to select the header, to control the display to then display a second image representative of the label and a graphical control panel associated with said header. The second image representative of the label is of a size smaller than the first image representative of the label. The display means may comprise a touchscreen.11-24-2011

20120028401Methods for Manufacturing Arrays for CMOS Imagers - Methods of fabricating complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) imagers for backside illumination are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method may include forming at a front side of a substrate a plurality of high aspect ratio trenches having a predetermined trench depth, and forming at the front side of the substrate a plurality of photodiodes, where each photodiode is adjacent at least one trench. The method may further include forming an oxide layer on inner walls of each trench, removing the oxide layer, filling each trench with a highly doped material, and thinning the substrate from a back side opposite the front side to a predetermined final substrate thickness. In some embodiments, the substrate may have a predetermined doping profile, such as a graded doping profile, that provides a built-in electric field suitable to guide the flow of photogenerated minority carriers towards the front side.02-02-2012

20110313090Method For The Manufacture Of Long Chain Phthalate Dialkyl Ester Compositions - An improved method for producing di-isotridecylphthalate (DTDP) is disclosed by esterification using a tetra-alkyl titanate catalyst made from preferably primary alcohols having at least 4 and preferably up to but not more than 10 carbon atoms. In the esterification process, compared to using tetra-isopropyl titanate catalyst, less of the alcohol from the catalyst contributes to the environmental burden associated with discarding the waste water byproduct, and more is incorporated into the prime DTDP product.12-22-2011

20080275267Plasticiser Esters - Esters produced by the catalyzed reaction of alcohols and acids or anhydrides are neutralized by treatment with an aqueous alkaline alkali metal salt solution in an amount that provides less than a stoichiometric amount of alkali metal salt in relation to the acidity of the crude ester and the amount of water present during the treatment is from 0.8 to 1.4 wt % of water based on the weight of crude ester. When using titanium as the esterification catalyst, the ester resulting from this process contains less than 0.01 ppm by weight of titanium residue, so that it is storage stable when stored in the presence of an antioxidant.11-06-2008
20100108940Ester Production - A method for performing a flying grade switch in an ester production process, which preferably is operated in semi-continuous mode, maximises plant equipment productivity while minimizing product cross-contamination. Mixed ester products of the process containing a C05-06-2010
20100130767Process for Producing Esters - A process for producing esters comprises esterifying an acid or anhydride with an excess of an alcohol to produce a crude ester, recovering excess alcohol from the crude ester and recycling recovered excess alcohol to the esterification reaction together with fresh alcohol. The process is improved by controlling the ratio of the amount of recycled alcohol and the amount of fresh alcohol in dependence on the level of impurities in the recycle alcohol. Further improvements come from feed forwarding fresh alcohol analysis results and from preheating the alcohol before loading into the reactor. Preferably, ester product quality is improved by stripping the alcohol for oxygen removal prior to esterification.05-27-2010
20100137631BATCH ESTERIFICATION - The efficiency of catalysed batch esterification reactions is improved by the use of a particular temperature and pressure profile during the reaction cycle. In particular elevated pressure is maintained to prevent alcohol boil off during initial mixing and reaction of the reactants prior to any catalyst addition, and preferably the pressure is reduced rapidly after the desired reaction temperature has been reached.06-03-2010
20110196159Improved Mixing In Oxidation To Phthalic Anhydride - A system for mixing ortho-xylene with an oxygen-containing gas such as air comprises an evaporator vessel fed with the gas and having a lance projecting into the gas. The lance is provided with a metal spray nozzle for injecting droplets of hot liquid ortho-xylene into the gas stream, concurrently with the direction of flow of the gas. The metal at the surface of the spray nozzle, that in use is in contact with the liquid ortho-xylene, has a high surface hardness to resist erosion, particularly by cavitation. The system is useful in the production of phthalic anhydride by the oxidation of ortho-xylene with air, whereby the risk for deflagrations is reduced. A soft metal seal is the preferred gasket between the spray nozzle and the lance.08-11-2011
20110230667Vaporization In Oxidation To Phthalic Anhydride - In the production of phthalic anhydride by the oxidation of ortho-xylene with air, the ortho-xylene loading is increased without increasing the likelihood of explosion by insulating the system to avoid cold spots to keep the ortho-xylene at a temperature above its dew point; in addition the system may be electrically interconnected and grounded to reduce the risk of spark initiated explosions or deflagrations.09-22-2011
