20100272309Electrostatic Speaker Systems and Methods - An electrostatic speaker system including at least one electrostatic speaker element having a pair of stators and a diaphragm therebetween, each of the stators and the diaphragm having an least one electrically conductive portion. The conductive portion of the diaphragm is patterned as a mesh, which may include gaps, and a conforming layer overlying the conducting portion of the diaphragm and disposed so as to cover gaps in the mesh. A speaker drive circuit provides soft clipping of the audio input signal so that the audio signal applied between the diaphragm and the stators does not exceed the maximum acceptable level that can be applied between the diaphragm and the stators of at least one speaker element.10-28-2010

20090123307ELECTRICAL DEVICE AND PLUG FOR AN ELECTRICAL DEVICE - Known pumping devices have a connection lid, a connection cap slipped over the connection lid, a hollow chamber formed between the connection lid and the connection cap, and electrical connections that extend through the connection cap into the hollow chamber. It is disadvantageous that when fuels containing water are being pumped, such as ethanol, corrosion can occur at the electrical connections and at the uninsulated cable segments that are exposed to fuel near the electrical connections, for instance at the electrical coils or flexible cables of the carbon brushes, and in the final analysis this leads to an interruption in the electrical contact and thus to failure of the pumping device. In the electrical device of the invention, corrosion of the electrical connections and of the electrical components adjoining them upstream and downstream is avoided entirely or at least greatly diminished. According to the invention, the electrical connections are each provided in separate chambers of the hollow chamber.05-14-2009
20100323552PUMPING ASSEMBLY - Electric fuel pumps are already known with a pump housing and a ground terminal, which is provided on a terminal cover, for making contact with an electrical ground, in which the pump housing and the ground terminal are connected to one another via a ground connection, which has a first contact section for making contact with the pump housing and a second contact section for making contact with the ground terminal. The first contact section is provided on the outer circumference of a terminal cover and, after installation, is pressed with a contact pressure against the inner face of the pump housing. Since the inner face of the pump housing has increasingly been provided with an electrically insulating anticorrosion coating, however, when the terminal cover is pressed into the pump housing, touching contact with the pump housing does take place which is usually also electrically conductive, but as a result of the electrically insulating coating has a high electrical resistance. In the case of the conveying assembly according to the invention, the impedance of the contact-making is reduced. The invention provides that the first contact section is designed to have sharp edges in such a way that, when it is pushed into the pump housing, it passes locally through an electrically insulating layer formed on the pump housing.12-23-2010

20090020459ETHYLENE FURNACE RADIANT COIL DECOKING METHOD - Methods are provided for decoking the radiant coils in an ethylene cracking plant. The decoking process is controlled by monitoring the coil outlet temperature to control the rate of burning of coke in the radiant coils. Air flow rates, steam flow rates and coil outlet temperatures are controlled during the decoking process to prevent tube damage, minimize decoking time and maximize coke removal.01-22-2009
20100105973ABSORBER DEMETHANIZER FOR METHANOL TO OLEFINS PROCESS - A process for conversion of methanol to olefins (MTO), including: contacting methanol and air in a methanol-to-olefins reactor; recovering an effluent from the methanol-to-olefins reactor comprising methanol, ethylene, and nitrogen oxides; separating the effluent via one or more reactive distillation and/or distillation stages using a hydrocarbon absorbent to recover a first fraction comprising ethylene and a second fraction comprising methane; wherein the separating comprises operating the one or more extractive distillation and/or distillation stages at temperatures and pressures sufficient to prevent any substantial conversion of nitrogen oxides to N04-29-2010
20110071332ABSORBER DEMETHANIZER FOR FCC PROCESS - A process for recovering ethylene is disclosed, the process including: recovering a ethylene-containing stream comprising methane, ethylene, and nitrogen oxides from at least one of an ethylene production process and an ethylene recovery process; separating the ethylene-containing stream via extractive distillation using at least one C03-24-2011
