20090110103ADAPTIVE PUNCTURING TECHNIQUE FOR MULTICARRIER SYSTEMS - Various embodiments are described for adaptive puncturing techniques.04-30-2009
20090257454OFDM TRANSMITTER WITH ADAPTIVE BIT INTERLEAVER FOR ADAPTIVE BIT LOADING AND METHOD FOR OFDM COMMUNICATIONS - A multi-antenna transmitter includes an adaptive bit interleaver for orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) communications. The adaptive bit interleaver permutes a variable number of coded bits per OFDM symbol (Ncbps). The variable number of coded bits is calculated based on individual subcarrier modulation assignments for orthogonal subcarriers. The interleaver matrix size may be based on the variable number of coded bits per OFDM symbol and the number of subchannels. The interleaver may add padding bits to the interleaver matrix to fill any remaining positions, and after performing an interleaving operation, the interleaver may prune the padding bits to provide a sequence of interleaved bits for subsequent modulation on the orthogonal subcarriers and transmission by more than one antenna. The transmitter may transmit the OFDM symbol in accordance with an IEEE 802.16 standard.10-15-2009
20100135426MODULATION SCHEME FOR ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY DIVISION MULTIPLEXING SYSTEMS OR THE LIKE - Briefly, in accordance with one embodiment of the invention, bit and power loading may be utilized to select a modulation rate and subcarrier power scaling based on channel state information. As a result, a higher data rate may be utilized for a given signal-to-noise ratio while maintaining a constant bit error rate.06-03-2010

20090052566METHOD FOR CHANNEL ESTIMATION USING RECURSIVE FILTERING AND MULTICARRIER RECEIVER WITH INTERFERENCE-AWARE DEMODULATION - Embodiments of a multicarrier receiver with interference-aware demodulation and methods for channel estimation using recursive filtering in wireless networks are generally described herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed. In some embodiments, orders of a recursive filter are allocated to track a main channel and one or more interfering channels to generate channel estimates.02-26-2009
20100150079METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPRESSING CO-CHANNEL INTERFERENCE - System and method for interference reduction in a broadband wireless access (BWA) network are disclosed. A mobile station performs a recursive process to update channel estimates of interfering channels on a symbol-by-symbol basis for use in canceling interference from data subcarriers received through two or more antennas.06-17-2010
20110158337OFDM TRANSMITTER AND METHODS FOR REDUCING THE EFFECTS OF SEVERE INTERFERENCE WITH SYMBOL LOADING - Embodiments of an OFDM transmitter and method of reducing the effects of interference on subcarriers in an OFDM system by symbol loading are disclosed herein. A linear transformation is performed on a group of two or more input data symbols that are mapped to different signal dimensions to generate a corresponding two or more output data symbols. Each of the output data symbols has an increased number of constellation points. Each output data symbol is configured for transmission within one of the different signal dimensions. The linear transformation is configured so that each of the two or more output data symbols carry the information of each of the input data symbols of the group. This coding together of input data symbols that are mapped to different signal dimensions may provide improved reliability against fading and severe interference. The different signal dimensions may comprise a frequency, a time and/or a space dimension.06-30-2011
