For each content-containing component of the digital gift, default content items are selected based upon one or more of biographical information previously supplied by one or more members of the caregroup, information regarding communications history from the member of the caregroup to the target of the caregroup, ascertained preferences of the target of the caregroup, and a type of the digital gift.
