20110013756Highlighting of Voice Message Transcripts - A computer-implemented voice mail method includes obtaining an electronic audio file of a recorded user message directed to a telephone user, automatically generating a transcript of the recorded user message, and identifying locations in the transcript in coordination with timestamps in the recorded user message so that successive portions of the transcript can be highlighted in coordination with playing of the recorded user message. The method also include identifying one or characteristics of the message using meta data relating to the recorded user message, and storing the recorded user message and information about the identified locations of the recorded user message.01-20-2011
20110246944APPLICATION-INDEPENDENT TEXT ENTRY - A text processing module can allow a user to compose text prior to selecting another application with which to use or communicate the text. A device can include the text processing module, which receives text input from a user via text input means. The device can display the text in a user interface, along with one or more icons associated with software applications with which the text can be used or communicated. After the user has entered text, the user can activate a displayed icon to select the applications. The text processing module receives the selection and interacts with the selected application to display the text in the selected application and/or communicate the text to another person using the selected application. The text processing module can interact with user contacts to identify possible recipients for the text based on information in the text.10-06-2011

20100210915SURGICAL LIFT DEVICE TO ASSIST IN SURGICAL ACCESS THROUGH SKIN, TISSUE AND ORGANS - A surgical lift device includes a suction member for detachably contacting an external skin surface of a human body wall and holding the external skin surface by application of negative pressure between the suction member and the external skin surface. The suction member has a gripping force sufficient to permit lifting of the human body wall to an elevated position and to hold the human body wall in the elevated position. The suction member has a load-bearing domed structure which determines the lifting of the human body wall during application of negative pressure. The surgical lift device further includes a low friction entry port device arranged on the dome structure, wherein the low friction entry port device has a low friction port fixture for inserting a tool.08-19-2010

20090162508Juice Extractor - A method and apparatus is described for pulping/liquidising the edible flesh within a fruit, especially a citrus fruit. The apparatus includes a blade that is attached at its middle to a shaft that is rotatable about a longitudinal axis. The blade is pivotable to the shaft and is inserted tip first into the fruit while it lies parallel to the shaft so that the size of the opening into the fruit can be minimised. The shaft is rotated about its longitudinal axis and, while the shaft is rotating, the blade is pivoted outwardly from the shaft. The rotary movement of the shaft and the pivoting of the blade means that the blade traces a three dimensional shape within the fruit and thereby pulps it.06-25-2009
20090217931Tongue-Holding Device - The present invention provides a device for holding a tongue to hold a person's airway open, for example when a person is unconscious. The device comprises a chamber configured to snugly accommodate a tongue, and a resilient hollow bulb that is in fluid communication with the chamber. The chamber has an open end through which a person's tongue can project. The device is configured such that the deforming and releasing of the bulb creates a reduced pressure in the chamber, thereby retaining the tongue within the chamber. The device prevents the tongue from blocking the airway.09-03-2009
