20100250161Monitoring system for collection and distribution of a power consumption information - A monitoring system for collection and distribution of power consumption information. It comprises a first monitoring device that is employed between, and electrically coupled to, a power socket and a first electrical appliance. The monitoring system also comprises a collector device that collects an energy consumption data from the first monitoring device and communicates it to a remote server. The collector device receives monitoring data from a number of electrical appliances with which it is communicatively coupled. Communication between the collector device that receives monitoring data from a number of electrical appliances and the monitoring devices occurs over a power line.09-30-2010
20100250440Web based monitoring, management and contest based on collected power consumption data - A web based monitoring and management system for collection and distribution of power consumption information. The power consumption information is collected by an intelligent power meter in one embodiment, and by a collector device in another. The power consumption information is communicated to a remote server for analysis, reporting and managing a power savings/green energy contest. The collector device or the intelligent power meter receives monitoring data from a number of electrical appliances with which it is communicatively coupled. Communication between the collector device that receives monitoring data from a number of electrical appliances and the monitoring devices occurs over a power line.09-30-2010
20100292961Wireless tracking device for tracking appliance usage and modifying user behavior - A wireless tracking device for monitoring usage patterns and power consumption of appliances such as a refrigerator. The power consumption is monitored by the use of new and innovative wireless tracking device that is placed by a user inside the appliance while it is operational. Appliance usage pattern information and power consumption information is communicated by the wireless tracking device and is collected by an intelligent power hub (and in some embodiments, an energy pump device, an intelligent power meter or a collector device). User behavior is modified by recommending approaches to cut power consumption by the appliances thereby providing savings and reducing the cost of operation.11-18-2010
20100318235System for monitoring energy consumption of an electrical appliance - A system for monitoring energy consumption of an electrical appliance. The present invention provides an elegant means of monitoring energy consumption by legacy appliances such as a HVAC system. The energy consumption is monitored by the use of new and innovative wireless sensing device that is placed adjacent to or in contact with the appliance while it is operational. Appliance usage pattern information and power consumption information is communicated by the wireless sensing device and is collected by a gateway (and in some embodiments, an energy pump device, an intelligent power meter or a collector device). User behavior is modified by recommending approaches to cut energy consumption by the appliances thereby providing savings and reducing the cost of operation.12-16-2010
20110112780Electrical power consumption measuring system - An electrical power consumption measuring system that is capable of determining and presenting the power consumed by individual appliances at a home or premises. The system collects operational state information about a plurality of appliances, each connected to a power line to which is also attached a power meter, and it can determine which applies are on or off, and how much power each of the appliances consume.05-12-2011

20100100254System and Method for Adapting a Power Usage of a Server During a Data Center Cooling Failure - A device comprising a temperature measurement module, a performance state module, a memory bandwidth module, and a fan speed module. The temperature measurement module is configured to determine a rate of temperature change in a server and to output a control signal when the rate of temperature change is above a threshold rate. The performance state module is configured to reduce a performance state of the device to a lowest system level in response to the control signal, and to reduce a processor power consumption and a subsystem power consumption to a minimum power level in response to reducing the performance state to the lowest system level. The memory bandwidth module is configured to reduce a memory bandwidth to a minimum bandwidth level based on the control signal. The fan speed module is configured to reduce a fan speed to a minimum level based on the control signal.04-22-2010

20100066018MULTISTAGE WAGERING CARD GAME AND METHOD THEREFOR - A blackjack-type card game with multistage wagering that provides a predetermined set of rules for when a player receives two or three cards, thus removing the option of splitting, doubling-down, or purchasing insurance. The game comprises areas for a player to place an first wager and a second wager. A transitional area is used to transfer the first wager to in given circumstances. The invention may or may not also include an area for an optional bonus wager, wherein the bonus wager would be either collected or paid according to a preset payout schedule and depending upon the cards of the player placing the bonus wager.03-18-2010

20090250878POKER-TYPE CARD GAME AND METHOD THEREFOR - A poker-type game capable in which participants compete against a dealer in hands whose number of cards progressively increases. Play begins with two cards dealt to a dealer and two cards dealt to each player. Whoever has a superior two-card hand may place a wager into a transitional wagering area. At least three community cards are dealt creating first a three-card, then a four-card and ultimately a five-card poker hand. At each stage, whoever between the dealer and each at least one player has the inferior hand may place a wager into that player's transitional wagering area. Whoever has the best five-card poker hand collects all wagers placed in the transitional wagering area.10-08-2009

20090208585STABILISATION OF BIOLOGICAL MATERIALS - Biological materials such as vaccines can be stabilised in certain glassy materials, soluble in water. It has been proposed to form these glassy materials as a powder suspended in a non-aqueous liquid for injection into a patient. There is a problem in maintaining the suspension because the particles tend to sink to the bottom. The problem is solved by adding a blowing agent into a solution for which the glass is formed. The blowing agent decomposes as the solution evaporates thereby forming cavities in the resulting glass structure, reducing its density to match that of the liquid in which it is to be suspended. Other uses for the invention are in compositions intended for inhalation and for rapid dissolution in aqueous solutions immediately before use.08-20-2009
