20080273605HIGH BANDWIDTH DATA TRANSPORT SYSTEM - The present invention provides for a methods, system, and apparatus relating to data transmission. One method of the present invention includes representing data using at least one ultra wideband pulse, sending the at least one ultra wideband pulse over an electrically conductive guided media, and recovering the data from the at least one ultra wideband pulse. The present invention can be used in conjunction with telephony applications, cable TV applications, power line applications, fiber optic applications, and data bus applications.11-06-2008
20090110030HIGH BANDWIDTH DATA TRANSPORT SYSTEM - A device for sending and receiving ultra wideband communications over a guided medium includes a line interface configured for electrical communication to the guided medium and adapted for interfacing with the guided medium, an ultra wideband impulse transmitter electrically connected to the line interface for transmitting amplitude modulated ultra wideband impulses over the guided medium, and an ultra wideband receiver electrically connected to the line interface for receiving amplitude modulated ultra wideband impulses over the guided medium.04-30-2009
20090110085HIGH BANDWIDTH DATA TRANSPORT SYSTEM - A method of data transmission includes representing data using at least one amplitude modulated impulse based on an ultra wideband impulse, sending the at least one impulse over an electrically conductive guided media, receiving the at least one impulse over the electrically conductive guided media, recovering the data from the at least one amplitude modulated impulse after receiving the at least one impulse over the electrically conductive guided media. The at least one impulse coexists on the electrically conductive guided media with wave based transmissions sent over the electrically conductive guided media.04-30-2009
20090110108HIGH BANDWIDTH DATA TRANSPORT SYSTEM - Preparing data for transmission includes determining bit loading per frequency bin based on channel estimation data to create a data symbol, performing a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) on the interleaved data symbol array, mapping FFT data output sub-channel to a frequency bin to provide frequency mapped data, and performing an Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) on the frequency mapped data to provide IFFT frequency mapped data suitable for transmission using one-dimensional amplitude modulated ultra wideband impulses representing the IFFT frequency mapped data. To recover the data a reverse process is used.04-30-2009
20090285205UNIFIED MESSAGE SYSTEM - The present invention provides a method and devices for unified messaging. One method provides for receiving a message having a first identifier associated with a user, translating the first identifier associated with the user to a second identifier comprising a zip code and a street address, the second identifier being associated with a network address, and sending the message to the user at the network address. A line interface device of the present invention is associated with an address that comprises a zip code.11-19-2009
20100002604METHOD FOR ROUTING DATA PACKETS USING AN IP ADDRESS BASED ON GEO POSITION - Method of routing data over a network in which contact is made with a home network to determine the reported geo-position, using this geo-position to transmit data to the device over a path through a node in which the node reads the geo-position, accesses a list of possible recipients and their geo-positions, compares its location to the positions, selects a recipient based at least in part on the proximity of the recipient to the device, and transmits the data over the best path. Eventually, the device becomes the recipient. A geo-position may be transmitted as part of an IP address, or as geo-position data or XML tagged geo-position information contained in a data packet or IP addressed message or IP addressed voice calls (VoIP). The geo-position information can be generated from a GPS receiver. This method and/or IP address may be used in a method of doing business in which the geo-position is used to identify the source and location for delivery. This information may be incorporated into a purchase order or confirmation receipt.01-07-2010
20100096448METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BAR CODE DATA INTERCHANGE - A new method and system for bar code data interchange includes a bar code scanner, such as a high scan rate LED scanner, and reads bar coded information from a video display. This bar coded information is scanned from the video display into a host device. The bar coded information may be sent to a user in a variety of ways, including over the Internet, any intranet, or any type of telephony network. The bar coded information may be viewed by the user on the video display as part of an e-mail message, as displayed on a web-page, or as displayed on television programming. The scanned bar coded information is decoded and may then be used. A first software program may have been used to create the bar coded information, and a second and distinct software application may be used with the now decoded bar coded information.04-22-2010
20100329247HIGH BANDWIDTH DATA TRANSPORT SYSTEM - A method for data transmission includes representing data using at least one impulse based on a ultra wideband impulse, sending the at least one impulse over an electrically conductive guided media, receiving the at least one impulse over the electrically conductive guided media, recovering the data encoded in the at least one impulse after receiving the at least one impulse over the electrically conductive guided media, storing individual bytes of the data recovered from said ultra wideband impulse signals in selectable memory locations of a plurality of buffer memories, each buffer memory for storing a plurality of said bytes, adding header data to outputs of said buffer memories and forming a plurality of variable length packets, and transmitting said plurality of packets in ultra wideband impulse output signals.12-30-2010
20110088412Cryogenic treatment of mixed loads - A process for treating mixed loads of tools and/or parts which incorporates an optional pre-heat phase, a cryogenic phase, and an optional post temper phase.04-21-2011
20110103461SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING VARIABLE PULSES FOR SYMBOLOGY - A method and system for storing and transmitting data using variable pulse characteristics to represent ASCII or UNICODE characters, of the value of a string of data using a number base higher than 2. Pulse characteristics are modified to correspond to different data values. Pulse characteristics can include pulse durations, pulse spacings, pulse amplitudes, pulse phases, pulse polarities, pulse shapes and/or other pulse characteristics.05-05-2011
20110130129METHOD FOR DATA INTERCHANGE - A method for data interchange includes summing up data associated with an electronic document to provide summed up data, representing the summed up data as one or more bar codes, and returning the one or more bar codes for display and data capture via a bar code scan from either a video display or a printed version of the one or more bar codes. The electronic document may be of any number of formats. The summing up may include taking data from multiple information fields to create the summed up data. The data may include data tags or a step of adding data tags to the data to assist in data interchange may be performed.06-02-2011
