20100005471 | PRIORITIZED RESOURCE SCANNING - A method for prioritized scanning of resources within an Information Technology (IT) infrastructure includes prioritizing resources by likelihood of each resource being relevant to a target problem and scanning resources that have a higher likelihood of being relevant to the target problem before scanning resources that have a lower likelihood of being relevant to the target problem. A system for prioritized scanning of an IT infrastructure includes a resource list, the resource list identifying at least a portion of resources within the IT infrastructure; a plurality of tags, each of the plurality of tags being associated with a the resource, the plurality of tags being configured to monitor the resources identified in the resource list and generate an output, the output being related to a likelihood that the resources contain information related to a problem within the IT infrastructure; and a scanning program configured to scan resources with a higher likelihood of containing information related to the problem before scanning resources with a lower likelihood of containing information relating to the problem. | 01-07-2010 |
20100070314 | SHARED SPACE AVAILABILITY BY DYNAMICALLY RESPONDING TO USER UTILIZATION BEHAVIOR OF SHARED SPACE - The present invention discloses a solution for improving shared space availability by dynamically responding user utilization behavior of shared space. In the system, automated sensors within a shared space can be used to detect when spaces are in use. Sensors such as motion detectors, infrared sensors, cameras, and the like can correlate space usage to a reservation system. When a space is reserved by a user, the system can verify space occupancy according to the reservation. If the space is unoccupied and the reservation time has not expired, the space can be automatically freed. If the excess time before reservation expiration is more than a threshold value (e.g., fifteen minutes) the system can penalize the user. Penalties can be applied for users that do not utilize reservations. | 03-18-2010 |
20130290237 | DISCOVERY AND GROUPING OF RELATED COMPUTING RESOURCES USING MACHINE LEARNING - According to one aspect of the present disclosure a system and technique discovering and grouping related computing resources using machine learning is disclosed. The system includes a processor unit and logic executable by the processor unit to: receive a grouped unit of at least two configuration items of a computing environment; analyze the grouped unit to determine a correlation between the configuration items of the grouped unit; create a rule based on the determined correlation; apply the rule to the computing environment to identify another configuration item of the computing environment related to the configuration items of the grouped unit; and responsive to identifying another configuration item of the computing environment based on application of the rule, include the identified configuration item in the grouped unit. | 10-31-2013 |
20130290238 | DISCOVERY AND GROUPING OF RELATED COMPUTING RESOURCES USING MACHINE LEARNING - According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method and technique for discovering a grouping related computing resources using machine learning is disclosed. The method includes: receiving, by a discovery engine executing on a processor unit, a grouped unit of at least two configuration items of a computing environment; analyzing, by the discovery engine, the grouped unit to determine a correlation between the configuration items of the grouped unit; automatically creating a rule, by the discovery engine, based on the determined correlation; applying the rule, by the discovery engine, to automatically identify another configuration item of the computing environment related to the configuration items of the grouped unit; and responsive to identifying another configuration item of the computing environment based on application of the rule, including the identified configuration item in the grouped unit. | 10-31-2013 |
20140149451 | SEARCHING ALTERNATIVE DATA SOURCES - A method and system for searching alternative data sources include monitoring a first communications source broadcasting unstructured data, and a second communications source broadcasting structured data. The method further includes generating text from the unstructured data and from the structured data collected, and parsing the generated text. The method also includes defining a search phrase, and analyzing the generated or parsed text for semantically relevant text in relation to the search phrase. The method also includes selecting the semantically relevant text. | 05-29-2014 |
20140173574 | COMPILATION DEPENDENCY RESOLUTION FROM A DIVERSE GROUP OF CANDIDATE RESOURCES - A determination is made that at least one missing dependency reference of a portion of a software code build prevents full dependency resolution of the software code build. Search path processing is invoked using a SEARCHPATH definition to locate all additional accessible code modules that are potential candidate code modules to resolve the at least one missing dependency reference. The SEARCHPATH definition includes a set of predefined alternative search locations relative to dependency locations specified for the software code build. An interface definition of each coded method is identified within each located additional accessible code module found by the search path processing. A code module found by the search path processing that includes an identified interface definition of at least one coded method that resolves at least a portion of interface requirements of the at least one missing dependency reference is selected. | 06-19-2014 |
20140207807 | SEARCHING ALTERNATIVE DATA SOURCES - A method and system for searching alternative data sources include monitoring a first communications source broadcasting unstructured data, and a second communications source broadcasting structured data. The method further includes generating text from the unstructured data and from the structured data collected, and parsing the generated text. The method also includes defining a search phrase, and analyzing the generated or parsed text for semantically relevant text in relation to the search phrase. The method also includes selecting the semantically relevant text. | 07-24-2014 |
20150155717 | Providing Electricity to Essential Equipment During an Emergency - An approach is provided in which an emergency electrical distribution system detects an environmental alert invoked by an environmental sensor located in a particular location of building structure. The emergency electrical distribution system selects specific electrical source connections in proximity to the environmental sensor and, in turn, terminates electrical power to selected specific electrical source connections. | 06-04-2015 |
