20110239197INSTANCE-BASED FIELD AFFINITY OPTIMIZATION - Dynamic determination of affinity between fields of structure may be determined based on accesses to the same instance. The affinity may be utilized in determining a data layout of a structure so as to optimize performance of a target program. The affinity determination may be an estimation based upon a trace of an execution of the target program. Access relation between proximate accesses to fields of the same instance may be utilized to estimate an optimized data layout of the structure.09-29-2011

20090244067SELECTIVE COMPUTATION USING ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS - A method, system, and computer usable program product for selective computation using analytic functions are provided in the illustrative embodiments. An object graph and information about a change therein is received. The object graph includes several objects representing several resources in an environment as well as a set of analytic function instances in relation to the objects. A set of analytic function dependencies is determined. A first analytic function instance in the set of analytic function instances that has to be re-executed based on the change is identified. A re-computation graph is computed using the analytic function instance and presented. The change may be an addition, a deletion, a modification, or a combination thereof. The change may be a change in an object, in a relationship between two objects, in a relationship between an object in and an analytic function instance in the set of analytic function instances, or in an analytic function instance.10-01-2009
20090248722CLUSTERING ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS - A method, system, and computer usable program product for clustering analytic functions are provided in the illustrative embodiments. Information about a set of analytic function instances is received. Information about a set of time series is received. A subset of time series may be a set of input time series to an analytic function instance in the set of analytic function instances. An analytics clustering rule is applied to the information about the set of analytic function instances and the information about the set of time series. A subset of time series is clustered as a group in response to applying the analytics clustering rule. An analytics clustering rule may determine whether all time series in the set of input time series to an analytic function instance are members of a group, and group an output time series of the analytic function instance in the group if all time series in the set of input time series are members of the group.10-01-2009
20090248851DEPLOYING ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS - A method, system, and computer usable program product for deploying analytic functions are provided in the illustrative embodiments. A resource is identified in an analytic function specification. A set of input time series is identified for the analytic function specification. An analytic function instance corresponding to the analytic function specification is instantiated in relation to an object of the resource. Each input time series in the set of time series is located in relation to the object. The analytic function instance is associated with each input time series in the set of time series. An analysis is performed using the set of input time series and an analytic function described in the analytic function specification. The analytic function instance is instantiated if both the object and the set of data sources are present in an object graph where the analytic function instance is to be instantiated.10-01-2009

20100180020IMPROVING SCALE BETWEEN CONSUMER SYSTEMS AND PRODUCER SYSTEMS OF RESOURCE MONITORING DATA - A consumer system receives capabilities metadata from a producer system that includes resource class metrics for a resource class included in the producer system. Next, the consumer system creates a rule that corresponds to one of the consumer system's managed entities. The rule includes one or more prescriptions that reference the resource class metrics and specify a periodicity, which informs the producer system as to a time interval for which to send prescription results that includes metric information pertaining to the resource class metrics. The consumer system sends the rule to the producer system and, in turn, the consumer system receives the prescription results from the producer system at the specified periodicity and applies the metric information to the managed entity.07-15-2010

20080231099SEAT WITH ADJUSTABLE THIGH SUPPORT ASSEMBLY - A seat with an adjustable thigh support assembly includes a seat bottom with a rearward portion and a forward edge. The rearward portion is positioned to receive the buttocks of a person with the thighs extending beyond the forward edge. A thigh support has a rear edge and a forward edge with the forward edge extending generally horizontally beyond the forward edge of the seat bottom. The assembly further includes adjustable apparatus affixing the thigh support to the seat bottom for movement between a retracted position in which the rear edge of the thigh support extends below the forward edge of the seat bottom and an extended position in which the rear edge of the thigh support is in substantial juxtaposition with the forward edge of the seat bottom.09-25-2008
