20080249366SYSTEM FOR USE IN PERFORMING A MEDICAL PROCEDURE AND INTRODUCER DEVICE SUITABLE FOR USE IN SAID SYSTEM - A system for performing a medical procedure and an introducer device suitable for use in the system. The system may be used, for example, to examine and/or to treat the uterus. According to one embodiment, the system includes an introducer, a morcellator, a flexible hysteroscope, and a fluid-containing syringe. The introducer is suitable for transcervical insertion into the uterus and includes a gun-shaped housing and a rigid sheath extending distally from the housing. The sheath is shaped to include an instrument lumen, a visualization lumen, and a pair of fluid lumens. The introducer also includes a first assembly within the housing for receiving the morcellator and for guiding the distal end of the morcellator into the instrument lumen and a second assembly within the housing for guiding the hysteroscope into the visualization channel. In addition, the introducer further includes an assembly for fluidly connecting the syringe to the fluid lumens.10-09-2008
20090259223Apparatus for retrieving a tissue volume with improved positioning precursor assembly - Apparatus for retrieving a tissue volume of a variety utilizing an electrosurgically excited cable implemented capture component which performs in combination with an improved precursor assembly. Where that assembly is electrosurgically excited, then it is located and dimensioned to avoid arc-over with the capture component cables. A precursor assembly also is implemented with electrically insulative ceramic blade and trocar configurations.10-15-2009
20090270896TISSUE CUTTER WITH DIFFERENTIAL HARDNESS - Disclosed is a tubular cutting element for axial reciprocal movement within an outer tubular sleeve. The cutting element has an elongate tubular body, having a proximal end, a distal end and a cutting tip. The tubular body is formed in a drawing operation and the cutting tip is formed in a milling operation. The tubular body may have a Rockwell C hardness of no more than about 40, and the cutting tip may have a Rockwell C hardness of at least about 50.10-29-2009
20090270898TISSUE REMOVAL DEVICE WITH HIGH RECIPROCATION RATE - Disclosed is a tissue removal device. The device includes an outer tubular body, an inner tubular body and a cutting edge on the inner tubular body. The outer tubular body includes a window, which may be opened or closed by moving the cutting edge. The cutting edge has a hardness that exceeds the hardness of the material of the inner tube. The cutting edge may have a Rockwell C hardness of at least about 50, while the inner tube has a Rockwell C hardness of no more than about 40. The cutting edge may be formed by a milling step, and the inner tube may be formed by a drawing step. Tissue severed by the cutting edge may be removed at a rate of at least about 1.8 grams per minute through the inner tube, and the outer tubular body may have an outside diameter of no more than about 3.5 mm.10-29-2009

20080304466WIRELESS MULTIPOINT VOICE NETWORK - In general, a mobile unit for communicating with other mobile units assigned to a group within a Multipoint Voice Network (“MVN”) having a plurality of groups is shown. The mobile unit may include transmitter, receiver, and controller. The transmitter is enabled to transmit a set of multiple carrier frequencies, where the transmitter is configured to transmit on one frequency chosen from a sub-set of multiple carrier frequencies from the set of multiple carrier frequencies. The sub-set of multiple carrier frequencies correspond the group. The receiver is configured to receive and demodulate the sub-set of multiple carrier frequencies and the controller configures the receiver to receive and demodulate the sub-set of multiple carrier frequencies that is assigned to the group.12-11-2008

20080216296THIN SOLID ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR EMBEDDABLE IN A SUBSTRATE - An improved method for forming a capacitor. The method includes the steps of: providing a metal foil; forming a dielectric on the metal foil; applying a non-conductive polymer dam on the dielectric to isolate discrete regions of the dielectric; forming a cathode in at least one discrete region of the discrete regions on the dielectric; and cutting the metal foil at the non-conductive polymer dam to isolate at least one capacitor comprising one cathode, one discrete region of the dielectric and a portion of the metal foil with the discrete region of the dielectric.09-11-2008
20090251847CAPACITOR WITH SACRIFICIAL LEAD WIRE CONFIGURATION AND IMPROVED MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF - The capacitor has a monolithic anode and at least one anode lead wire extending from the anode. At least one sacrificial lead wire extends from the anode. A dielectric layer is on said anode and a cathode layer is on the dielectric layer. The anode lead wire is in electrical contact with the anode and a cathode lead is in electrical contact with the cathode.10-08-2009
20110149477SOLID ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE - An improved solid electrolytic capacitor and method of forming a solid electrolytic capacitor is described. The method includes forming an anode comprising a valve metal or conductive oxide of a valve metal wherein an anode lead extension protrudes from the anode. A dielectric is formed on the anode and a cathode layer is formed on the dielectric. The anode, dielectric, and cathode layer are encased in a non-conducting material and the anode lead extension is exposed outside of the encasement at a side surface. A conductive metal layer is adhered to the anode lead extension which allows termination preferably by electrically connecting a preformed solid metal terminal, most preferably an L shaped terminal, to the conductive metal layer at the side surface.06-23-2011
