Resilient, Water Dispersible Polyurethane Foams and Products Incorporating Same - A soft and resilient, cold-water dispersible polyurethane foam suitable for disposable personal care products is produced by the combination of corn syrup, glycerin, polyether diamine, PEG, a diisocyanate, water and a catalyst. The formulation and reaction conditions for forming the inventive foam are judiciously selected and carefully controlled to achieve water dispersibility and the desired mechanical properties. The characteristic resiliency, or percent rebound for the foams was generally over 75% and the foams are readily produced as soft foams, exhibiting a relative compression value of from 20% to 150% of that of a commercial polyurethane foam cosmetic pad which is not water dispersible. The foam may be incorporated into webs or stackable products or nestable three-dimensional products. | 03-19-2009
RESEALABLE CONTAINER-DISPENSER - A resealable container-dispenser having a support substrate and a resealable package bonded to the substrate is disclosed. The package has a sheet product disposed therein and a resealable aperture for accessing the sheet product. A support portion of the substrate extends beyond an edge of the package and includes a support member sufficiently rigid to support the weight of the container-dispenser when hung by the support portion. | 08-20-2009

USING ELASTIC AVERAGING FOR ALIGNMENT OF BATTERY STACK, FUEL CELL STACK, OR OTHER VEHICLE ASSEMBLY - An assembly for a vehicle includes a first member including a plurality of elastically deformable locating protrusions extending outward, and a second member defining a cavity extending inward and including a plurality of elastically deformable compression features disposed within the cavity. The locating protrusions of the first member are disposed within the cavity of the second member in press fit engagement with the compression features of the second member to secure the first member relative to the second member. The average of the elastic deformation between all of the locating protrusions of the first member and all of the compression features of the second member precisely aligns the first member relative to the second member. The assembly may include but is not limited to a multiple unit battery pack, a multiple unit fuel cell pack, a dashboard assembly or adjoining body panels. | 05-10-2012

MECHANICAL POSITIONER FOR RECLINING SEAT ASSEMBLY - A mechanical linear actuator having a tubular member that is defined by a housing for rotatably and axially supporting a circular nut, a lead screw is mated to the circular nut so that it can move axially in and out of the tubular member. A torsion spring clutch brake is wound about the circular nut to normally brake the nut and thus prevent the lead screw from moving into or out of the tubular member. An unlocking mechanism can remotely unwind the torsion spring clutch brake to sufficiently release the circular nut and thus allow the lead screw to pass in and out of the tubular member. An adjustable stop is provided for adjusting the stroke of the actuator. | 02-11-2010

Precision Lamination of Multilayered Structures - This document describes the methodology for laminating layers of converted materials to form a precision laminated multilayered structure. With this methodology the pattern in the next layer to be laminated to create the multilayered structure can be adjusted based upon first or prior layer that the next layer is to be laminated to. The next layer will then be precisely aligned to the first or prior layers creating a precision laminated multilayer structure. | 07-09-2009
