| 20080246662 | METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE NULL POINT OF A GYROSCOPE - A system for correcting angular velocity measurements from a gyroscope and using the corrected angular velocity measurements to position an antenna used with a vehicle. The system determines an approximate null point voltage of a gyroscope of the type that produces a voltage related to an angular velocity to be measured by the gyroscope. The approximate null point is determined by sampling the output voltage to obtain a plurality of sampled voltages and choosing an approximate mode of the plurality of sampled voltages as the approximate null point voltage. | 10-09-2008 |

| 20090057285 | PORTABLE BATTERY POWERED WELDER - A portable battery powered welder is disclosed that is configured to operate without an external power source. The portable battery powered welder may include a battery coupled to a welding circuit and a wire feeder. Further, the portable battery powered welder may include a suitcase to integrally support and completely enclose the welding circuit, the battery, and the wire feeder. The suitcase may include a lateral access door having a hinge and a latch. Additionally, the wire feeder and a wire spool may be disposed in a region accessible by the lateral access door. The suitcase may also include an access panel disposed over a region containing the battery. The access panel may be mounted to the case via a snap mount and/or secured via fasteners. Finally, the suitcase may include a top handle and may be made of a lightweight, impact resistant, and flame retardant material. | 03-05-2009 |
| 20090201704 | CONSTANT VOLTAGE WELDER CAPACITOR RIPPLE CURRENT REDUCTION METHOD AND SYSTEM - A power circuit, in certain embodiments, includes an inductor to limit current through a capacitor, wherein the capacitor is configured to smooth ripple for a constant voltage welding system. More specifically, the power circuit may include a rectifier configured to convert AC power to DC power. The rectifier may be coupled to a DC bus configured to transmit the DC power. A capacitive circuit having the capacitor may be coupled across the DC bus to smooth ripple in the DC power. The inductor, e.g., coupled between the DC bus and the capacitive circuit, limits the rate of current flow between the capacitive circuit and the DC bus during a welding operation, thereby reducing heating in the output capacitive circuit. A further inductor may be coupled to one side of the DC bus to stabilize the rate of current flow from the power circuit to a load. | 08-13-2009 |

| 20090297627 | Method and composition to improve performance during long term sporting event - A process to improve performance of an individual during a long term sporting event includes the steps of providing in ingestible form a plurality of doses of a first nutritional composition, each dose including a known equivalent concentration of calcium, magnesium, potassium, and zinc; providing in ingestible form a plurality of doses of a second nutritional composition, each dose of the second nutritional composition including a known equivalent concentration of calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, and zinc; establishing a dietary meal plan including the first nutritional composition for the individual to establish a urine pH in the range of 6.5 to 7.5; following the dietary meal plan to establish a urine pH in the range of 6.5 to 7.5; and, periodically measuring urine pH to confirm a urine pH in the range of 6.5 to 7.5. The process also includes the steps of, during training of the individual prior to the sporting event, generating data during one or more training intervals indicating changes in urine pH during the training interval; administering a selected amount of one or more of the doses of the second nutritional composition after a subsequent training interval, the subsequent training interval extending over a selected period of time; generating data indicating changes in urine pH after the second nutritional composition is administered during the subsequent training interval; and, repeating steps (i) to (iii) to determine a fixed quantity of the doses to maintain urine pH at a selected level in the range of pH 6.5 to pH 7.5 during the sporting event. The process also includes the steps of beginning to compete in the long term sporting event; and, at selected intervals during the long term sporting event, ingesting the fixed quantity of the doses to maintain the urine pH at a selected level in the range of pH 6.5 to pH 7.5. | 12-03-2009 |
