20090093903METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR AUTOMATING PROCESS AND EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATIONS IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT - Methods, systems, and computer program products for automating process and equipment qualifications in a manufacturing environment are provided. A method includes defining a triggering event for initiating a qualification of an equipment, process module, or process. The qualification is configured to identify whether the equipment, process module, or process is operating according to specified criteria. The method also includes qualifying a monitor for use in the qualification. Upon the occurrence of the triggering event, the method includes running qualified monitors through the qualification. Based upon the results of qualifying the monitor for use in the qualification or the results of the execution of the qualification, the method includes determining and implementing a disposition for the monitor.04-09-2009

20110224613HYPODERMIC INJECTION SYSTEM - The invention relates to a hypodermic injection system having a direct-drive motor for moving a ram towards an injectate chamber for discharging injectate therein through a discharge orifice. The system can have an injection head attached to a housing having an injectate chamber for holding injectate to be injected, a remote discharge device with a control apparatus or the structure for holding a cartridge containing injectate. The injectate supply could be a bottle, a remote reservoir or a cartridge. An injection head can have a nose actuator for enabling an injection only if the nose actuator has engaged the body to be injected. A clamping device clamps the body to be injected. Control is effected through a microprocessor to which the electrically-operated parts of the invention are attached. Control and output signals are readable through an electronic display.09-15-2011

20090105814METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PLICATING TISSUE IN A MINIMALLY INVASIVE MEDICAL PROCEDURE FOR THE TREATMENT OF MITRAL VALVE REGURGITATION - A system and method for the treatment of mitral valve regurgitation by reshaping the mitral valve annulus using one or more plications of annular or adjacent tissue each fixed by a retainer is described. The system includes four devices to achieve such percutaneous direct plication annuloplasty. The first is a crossing catheter having a prolapseable or curved tip. Second, a deflecting guide catheter is used to provide a means for guiding the plication device into proper position at the subvalvular region of the mitral valve annulus. Third, the plication device is then used to make plications in the subvalvular region of the mitral valve annulus. Fourth, a ā€œCā€ shaped retainer with deformable ends is deployed by the plication device in order to retain the plicated tissue in the plicated form. A transseptal approach may be used to plicate and retain tissue on the atrial side of the mitral valve to achieve a reduction in mitral valve regurgitation.04-23-2009
20100076408DEFLECTING GUIDE CATHETER FOR USE IN A MINIMALLY INVASIVE MEDICAL PROCEDURE FOR THE TREATMENT OF MITRAL VALVE REGURGITATION - A deflecting guide catheter for use in minimally invasive medical procedures such as the treatment of mitral valve regurgitation by reshaping the mitral valve annulus using one or more plications of annular or adjacent tissue each fixed by a retainer is described. The catheter includes an elongated tubular portion having various durometers along its length and at least one puller wire attached to an anchor band near the distal end. The deflecting guide catheter is used to provide a means for guiding a plication device or other medical instrument into a desired position within the vasculature or heart chambers of a patient.03-25-2010
20100098673BONE GRAFT COMPOSITES AND METHODS OF TREATING BONE DEFECTS - Bone graft compositions comprising demineralized bone matrix, calcium phosphate, collagen and bioinductive cellular solution. Methods to repair and heal defective and missing bone using the bone graft compositions are also described.04-22-2010

20090138096FOOT/ANKLE IMPLANT AND ASSOCIATED METHOD - A foot/ankle implant anatomically-shaped for implantation between two bone portions of the foot or ankle to correct associated deformities. The foot/ankle implant has a peripheral wall surrounding a central bore therethrough and defining an annular cross-section. The wall is constructed from a composite material that includes a ceramic component and a polymer component. The ceramic component is gradually resorbed after implantation, and the polymeric component gradually degrades after implantation.05-28-2009
