20090001746LID FOR VEHICLE CARGO BIN - A cargo bin comprising a housing having a pair of mounting brackets. A J-shaped slot is formed in each mounting bracket, and a lid that includes a pair of pins slidably mounted in the J-shaped slots is attached to the housing. The lid includes pair of notched portions that are formed in the lid and correspond to the mounting brackets. The lid is actuatable between an open position and a closed position by sliding the pins through the J-shaped slots. To assist in supporting the lid when the lid is open, a surface that defines the notched portion rests on the mounting brackets.01-01-2009
20090001749VEHICLE SEAT UMBRELLA HOLDER - An umbrella retaining device may be incorporated into or integrally attached to a vehicle seat from the vehicle factory and may employ a compartment or holder that defines a ventilation and drain hole to drain water from a wet umbrella. An umbrella compartment may further comprise a flap pivoting along a bottom edge of the compartment, a gusset on each side of the flap, and a snap or magnetic closure device proximate to the flap's upper edge. Alternatively, an umbrella retaining compartment may angularly lie within a bottom portion of the seat or seat supporting portion, such as a front seat side shield. The compartment may have a cover, such as a pivoting cover. Alternatively, the umbrella retaining member may be a vertical tubular restraining member with a top, angled opening and a bottom opening. A support loop may lie below the tubular member to provide vertical support.01-01-2009
20090039679ADJUSTABLE VEHICLE CARGO LOAD FLOOR - A reversible lid of a cargo bin also functions as a cargo load floor. The cargo load floor is located behind a rear passenger seat and above a spare tire. When the lid is closed, a first flat loading surface is parallel to the ground upon which the vehicle rests while the opposite side of the lid defines the second flat loading surface that is angled with respect to the ground but 180 degrees to the rear surface of a folded forward rear passenger seat to create a smooth continuous loading surface to slide cargo onto the rear surface of the rear seat. A peripheral protruding portion surrounds the first flat lading surface to retain cargo while, grooves in the loading surface may accommodate any deposition of water and mud from cargo. The load floor pivots to open while at opposite corners locking tabs secure into holes to lock the load floor closed.02-12-2009

20110302446MONITORING LOST DATA IN A STORAGE SYSTEM - A data validation method comprises associating a validation chunk with one or more data chunks stored on one or more storage mediums. The validation chunk comprises validation information for verifying whether data recorded in a subdivision of the one or more data chunks is lost. A request is received for an operation to be performed on first data stored in a first subdivision of a first data chunk from among said one or more data chunks. One or more portions of the validation information are examined to determine whether the data recorded in said first subdivision is deemed to be lost.12-08-2011

20080296330MOUNTABLE STORAGE ARRANGEMENT - A mountable storage arrangement includes a mounting frame and a mountable storage device. The mounting frame includes a draw tube and a base member and upright member secured to the draw tube. The base member includes a support member having an axially extending portion and a laterally extending portion. The mountable storage device includes a base portion having a lower frame engaging surface including a recess sized to receive the support member to limit lateral and axial movement of the base portion with respect to the base member. The mountable storage device further includes an upright portion having an attachment feature configured to be secured to a corresponding attachment feature of the upright member to limit vertical movement of the base portion with respect to the base member when the support portion of the base member is received in the base portion recess.12-04-2008
20090007614SECURE MOUNTING ARRANGEMENTS FOR A LOCK ASSEMBLY - A mountable lock includes a lock body and a retaining member. The lock body is configured to be secured to an external structure by at least one fastening member. The lock body includes a lock interface movable from a locking condition to an unlocking condition in response to proper user manipulation of the lock interface. The retaining member includes a first end receivable in a first opening of the lock body and lockingly engageable with the lock body when the lock interface is in the locking condition, the first end being disengageable from the first opening when the lock interface is in the unlocking condition. The at least one fastening member is accessible through a passageway in the lock body that is blocked when the retaining member is in locking engagement with the lock body, thereby preventing disassembly of the lock body from the external structure.01-08-2009
20090072956Trailer Alarm - An alarm device for use with a vehicle includes an input connector for electrical connection with a vehicle wiring harness of a vehicle, an output connector for electrical connection with a trailer lighting receptacle of a trailer, and an alarm circuit electrically connected in series between the input connector and the output connector. The alarm circuit is configured to detect a presence or absence of an electrical signal supplied to the input connector for delivery through the output connector to an electrically powered component of the trailer. The alarm circuit is configured to deliver an alert signal when the alarm circuit detects the absence of the electrical signal.03-19-2009
20090079163Coupler Lockout Device - An assembly for restricting access to a coupler includes a body having a coupler engagement portion for engagement with a first surface of a coupler, a coupler engagement member laterally movable within a laterally extending slot in the body, with the coupler engagement member extending perpendicularly from the slot for engagement with a second surface of the coupler opposite the first surface. The assembly further includes a securing mechanism for selectively securing the coupler engagement member relative to the body against lateral movement away from the coupler engagement portion. When at least a portion of the coupler is received between the coupler engagement portion and the coupler engagement member and the coupler engagement member is secured in a coupler lockout position, at least one of the coupler engagement portion and the coupler engagement member prevents withdrawal of the coupler from the assembly.03-26-2009
20100043508PIN LOCKING DEVICE - A locking device includes a shaft, a locking head joined to the shaft, and a lock body having a lock opening for receiving a locking end of the shaft. A latch member is disposed within the lock body and includes a shaft aperture for receiving the locking end of the shaft therethrough. The shaft aperture includes an edge portion spring biased radially inward of the lock opening to engage the recessed portion with the edge portion when the locking end of the shaft is disposed in the lock opening. A locking member is disposed within the lock body. Rotation of the locking member from a locked condition to an unlocked condition moves the edge portion of the shaft aperture out of engagement with the recessed portion of the shaft to permit withdrawal of the shaft from the lock opening.02-25-2010
20100073478VEHICLE MOUNTED DEVICES AND ARRANGEMENTS - A trailer hitch mountable device for installation in a trailer hitch receiver tube includes a housing and a retainer bracket. The housing is sized to be received in the receiver tube and has an outermost wall including at least a first arcuate portion sized to align with circumferential edges of aligned mounting holes of the receiver tube when the device is installed in the receiver tube. The retainer bracket is secured to the housing and configured to engage an outermost edge of the receiver tube when the device is installed in the receiver tube. When the device is installed in the receiver tube and a receiver pin is inserted through the aligned mounting holes, the first arcuate portion prevents movement of the housing toward the outermost edge of the receiver tube, and the retainer bracket prevents movement of the housing away from the outermost edge of the receiver tube.03-25-2010
