20120257506 | SYSTOLIC ARRAY ARCHITECTURE FOR FAST IP LOOKUP - This invention first presents SRAM based pipeline IP lookup architectures including an SRAM based systolic array architecture that utilizes multi-pipeline parallelism idea and elaborates on it as the base architecture highlighting its advantages. In this base architecture a multitude of intersecting and different length pipelines are constructed on a two dimensional array of processing elements in a circular fashion. The architecture supports the use of any type of prefix tree instead of conventional binary prefix tree. The invention secondly proposes a novel use of an alternative and more advantageous prefix tree based on binomial spanning tree to achieve a substantial performance increase. The new approach, enhanced with other extensions including four-side input and three-pointer implementations, considerably increases the parallelism and search capability of the base architecture and provides a much higher throughput than all existing IP lookup approaches making, for example, a 7 Tbps router IP lookup front end speed possible. Although theoretical worst-case lookup delay in this systolic array structure is high, the average delay is quite low, large delays being observed only rarely. The structure in its new form is scalable in terms of processing elements and is also well suited for the IPv6 addressing scheme. | 10-11-2012 |

20140325348 | CONVERSION OF A DOCUMENT OF CAPTURED IMAGES INTO A FORMAT FOR OPTIMIZED DISPLAY ON A MOBILE DEVICE - Systems may be provided for recording a document with a camera-based mobile radio device and for converting textual information in the document into a format for suitable presentation on the mobile device. A document may be recorded by the mobile device in an image. A layout structure may be recognized with a text block in the image. Character text in the text block may be recognized by OCR. An order of the text blocks may be determined by taking into account the layout structure. A suitable format for presenting the character texts on the mobile device's display may be selected. The format may be adapted to a width of the display so that during reading of the character texts on the display, substantially only vertical scrolling is necessary. A file may be generated and displayed in the format with the character texts in the determined order of the text blocks. | 10-30-2014 |

20090037735 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DELIVERING SECURE MESSAGES TO A COMPUTER DESKTOP - A system and method for delivering a secure message to the desktop of a computer for a user. The system comprises polling a server to determine if any messages are waiting for the user. The polling includes providing and authenticating security credentials associated with the user. If a message is waiting on the server, a notification is generated on the computer of the user. A portion of the message may be delivered to the desktop as part of the notification. The message is encrypted with a public-private key pair associated with the user and delivered to the desktop of the computer. The communication link between the computer and the server may comprise a secure channel. | 02-05-2009 |
20090112876 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING DYNAMIC BRANDING IN A COMPUTER PROGRAM OR SUITE - A method and system for providing dynamic branding for a computer program or suite having windows, screens, display elements in a graphical interface. 20140306959 | 3-D GRAPHICS RENDERING WITH IMPLICIT GEOMETRY - Aspects relate to tracing rays in 3-D scenes that comprise objects that are defined by or with implicit geometry. In an example, a trapping element defines a portion of 3-D space in which implicit geometry exist. When a ray is found to intersect a trapping element, a trapping element procedure is executed. The trapping element procedure may comprise marching a ray through a 3-D volume and evaluating a function that defines the implicit geometry for each current 3-D position of the ray. An intersection detected with the implicit geometry may be found concurrently with intersections for the same ray with explicitly-defined geometry, and data describing these intersections may be stored with the ray and resolved. | 10-16-2014 |
20140333623 | RENDERING WITH POINT SAMPLING AND PRE-COMPUTED LIGHT TRANSPORT INFORMATION - Rendering system combines point sampling and volume sampling operations to produce rendering outputs. For example, to determine color information for a surface location in a 3-D scene, one or more point sampling operations are conducted in a volume around the surface location, and one or more sampling operations of volumetric light transport data are performed farther from the surface location. A transition zone between point sampling and volume sampling can be provided, in which both point and volume sampling operations are conducted. Data obtained from point and volume sampling operations can be blended in determining color information for the surface location. For example, point samples are obtained by tracing a ray for each point sample, to identify an intersection between another surface and the ray, to be shaded, and volume samples are obtained from a nested 3-D grids of volume elements expressing light transport data at different levels of granularity. | 11-13-2014 |
