20090045771CHARGER STAND FOR ELECTRICALLY HEATED ICE SKATES - A charger stand for a pair of electrically heated ice skates comprises a pair of channel shaped receptacles for receiving the skates in parallel side by side position with a housing for the charger electronics between the receptacles. A first connector connects to the blade and a second connector at the heel engaging portion touches a terminal on the skate heel. The blade is heated by a heating element encapsulated on the top edge of the blade in The?? battery pack is carried in the rear tower which is sealed against moisture penetration and includes two proximity switches for actuation.02-19-2009
20090066042ELECTRICALLY HEATED ICE SKATES - An ice skate assembly for attachment to a boot has a skate blade and a blade heating arrangement mounted within a blade support. The blade is heated by resistive heating wire attached along a groove on each side of the blade. The blade is mounted in the support by an over-molded plastic strip which engages into a slot in the support as a wedged fit. A control circuit board is encapsulated on the top edge of the blade and connects to a battery pack is carried in the rear tower of the support. The blade is attached to the support by a screw for pulling the blade longitudinally of the blade and to draw an inclined wedge member formed by the over-molding into its receptacle.03-12-2009

20110307990Ballistic and Impact Protective Visor System for Military Helmet Assembly - A visor for a helmet includes a lens having a top edge that slopes downward from a top center point to first right and left curve points, at the first curve points the top edge begins to slope more aggressively toward second right and left curve points, and more aggressively toward right and left side edge points. A plane of sight along the vertical extent of the lens is displaced above the plane intersecting the side edge points. The lens has a thickness defined between an inner concave surface and an outer convex surface; the inner and outer surfaces having different radii of curvatures. The lens tapers from the center toward the outer edges.12-22-2011

20090222091POROUS MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING SAME - A method for fabricating a porous structure from a first material. The method comprises the acts of mixing the first material with a second material to form a mixture, the first material having a melting point which is lower than the second material, heating the mixture under pressure to a temperature between a melting point of the first material and a melting point of the second material, cooling the molten mixture until it hardens and removing the second material from the first material. The method may also include a subsequent annealing step. There is also described a material suitable for implant, illustratively vertebral or spinal implants, comprising a rigid biocompatible polymer such as PEEK comprising a plurality of interconnected pores. The polymer illustratively has a porosity of between 50% and 85% by volume and in a particular embodiment is able to withstand pressures of up to 20 MPa. The porous PEEK material may also have a minimum thickness in any dimension of one (1) inch.09-03-2009
