The medicated module is initially in a locked state until attached to a drug delivery where a locking plate is moved to a triggering state. The medicated module does not require the user to manually engage a reservoir containing the secondary medicament. Instead, a biasing member automatically activates the reservoir when the needle guard is retracted when the module is in the triggering state. The needle guard prevents accidental needle sticks before and after an injection, and locks after dose delivery. | 01-30-2014 |

The medicated module is initially in a locked state until attached to a drug delivery where interaction of the cartridge holder with the module bypass housing changes the module to a triggerable state. The medicated module does not require the user to manually engage a reservoir containing the secondary medicament. Instead, a biasing member automatically activates the reservoir when the needle guard is retracted when the module is in the triggerable state. 20110040045 | REVERSIBLE DERIVATIZATION OF POLY (ARYL ETHER KETONES) - The embodiments of the present disclosure present systems and methods for the reversible solubilization of (aryl ether ketones) (PAEKs). A thioacetalization process is employed to modify the PAEKs into poly (aryl ether thioacetals) which, unlike PAEKs, are substantially soluble in common solvents. This modification allowing selected analysis techniques to be more easily performed on PAEKs1 such as gel permeation chromatography. The thioacetalization may be reversed through a deprotection reaction to recover the original PAEK without substantial degradation, allowing for non-destructive characterization of the PAEK. Advantageously, the thioacetalization process is generally applicable to a broad range of PAEKs, unlike presently known methods of solubilizing PAEKs. Solubilization of PAEKs further expands the utility of the PAEKs, opening up additional routes to chemical modification of PAEKs, as well as allowing for the possibility of processing PAEKs from solution. | 02-17-2011 |

20100212852 | PAPER FOR LAMINATE FLOORING AND A PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE THEREOF - A process for the manufacture of a paper suitable for use in a laminated product is described. The process comprising: (a) impregnating the paper preferably on the paper machine with melamine resins dissolved in a solvent, the melamine resins being more than 80% water soluble; the solution having a solids content of less than 50% such that ink may be added to the paper following impregnation. Thus in contrast to established techniques, an ink-pattern is preferably added to the paper after the paper has been treated, preferably impregnated, with resin. In preferred embodiments the paper is calendered after addition of the resins in step (a). The paper can then be further impregnated after printing then combined with a substrate to form a laminated flooring product. Step (a) reduces the wet-expansion caused by the later addition of further resins and is especially useful when step (a) is performed before adding the ink-pattern which then also reduces wet expansion caused by the addition of ink. Embodiments of the present invention are particularly useful for use with embossed or indented laminate flooring designs, where the indentations in the substrate must be matched with the pattern on the paper. The low wet expansion results in a process where less waste can occur and wherein the indentations may be much smaller than conventional laminate flooring allowing more intricate designs to be made. | 08-26-2010 |
