20090160704NAVIGATION RECEIVER - The subject matter disclosed herein relates to a system and method for processing navigation signals received from multiple global navigation satellite systems (GNSS′). In a particular implementation, signals received from multiple GNSS′ may be processed in a single receiver channel.06-25-2009
20090298422Calibration Using Noise Power - A method calibrates a spread spectrum receiver having a received signal strength below a noise floor. The method includes estimating an input noise power, and measuring a noise power output from the receiver. The method also includes comparing the estimated input noise power with the measured output noise power to determine at least one calibration value. The method further includes calibrating the receiver based upon the at least one calibration value.12-03-2009
20090311984FM Band Availability Based on GPS - Methods and apparatus for determining an available FM frequency channel for interfacing with FM modulated output signals from a wireless device are described herein. A SPS receiver, such as a GPS receiver, can determine its position based on conventional techniques. The SPS receiver can determine one or more available FM channels over which audio output may be transmitted. The SPS receiver can use the determined position to access a local data base of available channels. Alternatively, the SPS receiver can use the determined position to access a local database of allocated channels in order to determine one or more available channels. The SPS receiver may display a prompt or message that indicates an FM channel over which output audio is modulated.12-17-2009
20100127925Reconfigurable Satellite Positioning System Receivers - Methods and apparatus are provided for operatively enabling at least a first receiver path to receive a first signal associated with a first satellite positioning system (SPS), operatively enabling at least a second receiver path to receive a signal associated with at least one other SPS, and subsequently operatively enabling at least the second receiver path to receive a second signal associated with the first SPS.05-27-2010
20100148873TECHNIQUES FOR IMPROVING AMPLIFIER LINEARITY - Techniques for improving the linearity of a cascode amplifier. In an exemplary embodiment, an auxiliary common-gate amplifier is provided in parallel with the principal cascode branch. The auxiliary common-gate amplifier samples a cascoded node in the principal cascode branch. The auxiliary common-gate amplifier generates a current which, when combined with the current generated by the principal cascode branch, cancels a distortion component to generate an output current with improved linearity characteristics. In an exemplary embodiment, a phase shifting network couples the cascoded node to the auxiliary common-gate amplifier, and may include, e.g., a capacitor coupled to an inductor.06-17-2010
20100265875HYBRID MULTI-BAND RECEIVER - The subject matter disclosed herein relates to a system and method for processing wireless signals received from one or more communications systems. In a particular implementation, one or more signals received from one or more communication systems such as a GNSS may be processed in two or more separate wireless signal receiver paths and combined in baseband to share one analog-to-digital converter.10-21-2010
20100285769Radio Device Having Dynamic Intermediate Frequency Scaling - Methods and apparatuses are provided for dynamic frequency scaling of an intermediate frequency (IF) signal within a radio device.11-11-2010
20120032846NAVIGATION RECEIVER - The subject matter disclosed herein relates to a system and method for processing navigation signals received from multiple global navigation satellite systems (GNSS′). In a particular implementation, signals received from multiple GNSS′ may be processed in a single receiver channel.02-09-2012
