20100233712Method for Early Detection of Cancers - The invention includes methods for detecting the presence of a neoplastic condition by comparing a sample level of a BIF-1 to a reference, wherein a low level of BIF-1 in the sample correlates with the presence of a neoplastic condition. Another method involves determining the risk of relapse, tumor recurrence and/or metastasis by determining a sample level of a Bif-1 to a reference level of Bif-1, wherein low sample levels correlate with a likelihood of relapse, recurrence and/or metastasis. Yet another method includes detecting the presence of a pre-neoplastic condition, such as prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia. The method involves measuring a level of a Bif-1 in a sample and comparing the level of Bif-1 in the sample to a reference level of Bif-1. High levels of Bif-1 in the sample correlate with the presence of the pre-neoplastic condition.09-16-2010

20090006424SYSTEM, METHOD AND PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR DETERMINING IF A USER HAS RECEIVED A REDIRECTED WEB PAGE - System, method and program product determine redirection of a Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) sent by a web browser to an application. A first URL is sent to the application, and in response, a first web page is received from the application. A second URL is created by appending one or more characters to the first URL. The second URL is unrecognizable by the application. A request for the second URL is sent to the application, and in response, a second web page is received. The content of the second web page is compared to the content of the first web page. If the content of the second web page matches the content of the first web page, a record is made indicating that the first web page is a redirected web page.01-01-2009

20110231059SELF-CENTERING, TORQUE-SENSING JOINT ASSEMBLY FOR A PALLET TRUCK POWER STEERING SYSTEM - A steering mechanism includes a handle with a tiller arm coupled to the handle via a flexible joint allowing relative movement of the handle about the tiller arm. A handle centering mechanism forming part of the steering mechanism includes a first end fixedly secured to the handle and a second end extending into a channel of the tiller arm. The second end compresses bumpers disposed on opposing sides of the second end. The bumpers urge the handle toward a neutral position wherein when a force is applied to move the handle away from a home position relative to the tiller arm, one of the compressed bumpers of the pair of compressed bumpers is further compressed. When the force is removed, the handle is returned to the home position by action of the pair of compressed bumpers. Preferably, the steering mechanism includes a torque sensing arrangement having a sensor and a magnet. The sensor produces a signal based on movement of the handle relative to the tiller arm by sensing changes in the magnet field of the magnet proportional to the torque exerted on the handle regardless of the angle of the tiller arm.09-22-2011

20090293600DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS FOR COOLING SYSTEMS FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES - A control system for an engine system includes a temperature sensor and a diagnostic module. The temperature sensor measures an outlet temperature at an outlet of a cooling system. The diagnostic module estimates the cooling fluid temperature, determines the cooling performance based on the outlet temperature and the cooling fluid temperature, and selectively diagnoses a fault in the cooling system based on the cooling performance and a predetermined threshold.12-03-2009
20100229840SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEASURING ENGINE BOOST PRESSURE - An engine system includes a correction factor generation module and a boost pressure correction module. The correction factor generation module generates a correction factor based on a first pressure difference, wherein the first pressure difference corresponds to a difference between an intake manifold absolute pressure (MAP) when an engine is on and a barometric pressure. The boost pressure correction module generates a corrected boost pressure based on the MAP when the engine is on, a second pressure difference, and the correction factor, wherein the second pressure difference corresponds to a difference between the MAP when the engine is off and the barometric pressure.09-16-2010

20100088505CONTENT DELIVERY NETWORK ENCRYPTION - A system and method for delivering content to end users encrypted within a content delivery network (CDN) for content originators is disclosed. CDNs transport content for content originators to end user systems in a largely opaque manner. Caches and origin servers in the CDN are used to store content. Some or all of the content is encrypted within the CDN. When universal resource indicators (URIs) are received from an end user system, the CDN can determine the key used to decrypt the content object within the CDN before delivery. Where there is a cache miss, an origin server can be queried for the content object, which is encrypted in the CDN.04-08-2010
