20080200935Anastomosis Device and Method - An apparatus and method for using an anastomosis device to repair severed tissues resulting from a surgical medical procedure such as a radical prostatectomy, ilio-orthotopic neobladder construction, cystoprostatectomy, cystectomy, urethral anastomosis, or ureteral anastomosis.08-21-2008
20090312696Devices, Systems, and Related Methods for Delivery of Fluid to Tissue - Described are devices useful to deliver fluid to tissue of the bladder, bladder neck, prostate, urethra, ureter, kidney, and related methods, the devices including one or a combination of features such as a steerable shaft, an optical mechanism, multiple fluid delivery orifices that may be moveable or extendable laterally, longitudinally, or distally; the methods allowing for delivery of one or multiple types of fluid to tissue such as the bladder (including the bladder neck), urethra, prostate, kidney, ureter, etc.12-17-2009
20100030139Anastomosis Devices and Methods Utilizing Colored Bands - Methods and apparatus for visually distinguishing an inflation balloon from a distal tip of an anastomosis device with an unassisted eye so as to enhance patient safety during an anastomosis procedure. The anastomosis device can comprise a visual reference intermediate the inflation balloon and the distal tip to visually differentiate the distal tip from the inflation balloon. The visual reference can include a colored band to assist a medical profession in determining which portions of the anastomosis device can be grasped or otherwise handled so as to avoid damage to the inflation balloon during manipulation of the anastomosis device such as during removal of the anastomosis device from packaging or during deployment of the anastomosis device during the anastomosis procedure.02-04-2010
20100137839Blind End Catheter Guide - A catheter guide for assisting individuals in affixing catheter tips on blind-end catheters. More specifically, the catheter guide includes a mounting ring for receiving a catheter tip. The catheter guide further includes at least two integrated prongs extending from the mounting ring for defining a receptacle adapted to receive and aligning the blind end catheter with the catheter tip. The catheter guide maintains alignment of the blind end catheter and catheter tip while a bonding agent sets up. The catheter guide also includes an integrated tapering section extending from the integrated prongs to the mounting ring thereby eliminating the need for a separate tapering assembly step.06-03-2010
20100137858Coil Guide - A catheter including a coil guide that assist with the proper installation of an antenna for the delivery of microwave energy on a catheter. The coil guide secures the antenna in the proper position and shape while the catheter is navigated to the targeted tissue. The coil guide includes a channel that is molded or cut into the coil guide for receiving the antenna and maintaining proper position of the antenna. The channel provides a guide for medical personnel when wrapping the antenna coils onto the catheter body and secures the antenna in the proper shape and position while the catheter is being navigated to the targeted tissue. Alternatively, the antenna can be pre-coiled for installation into the channel. The coil guide can be adhesively attached or overmolded proximate a distal end of a catheter body.06-03-2010
20100168772ANASTOMOSIS DEVICE CONFIGURATIONS AND METHODS - A surgical tool which comprises an elongated body having a proximal end and a distal end, first and second sets of tissue approximating structures having deployed and retracted positions relative to the elongated body, an actuating mechanism extending from the proximal end of the elongated body for independently deploying and retracting each of the first and second sets of tissue approximating structures, a drainage lumen extending from a drainage aperture at the distal end of the elongated body to the proximal end, a main balloon adjacent to the distal end of the elongated body, and a strap connector extending from the elongated body that is connectable with a stabilization strap.07-01-2010
20100249813ANASTOMOSIS DEVICE APPROXIMATING STRUCTURE CONFIGURATIONS - A surgical tool including an elongated body having a proximal end and a distal end, first and second sets of tissue approximating structures having deployed and retracted positions relative to the elongated body, an actuating mechanism at the proximal end of the elongated body for independently deploying and retracting each of the first and second sets of tissue approximating structures, and a drainage lumen extending from a drainage aperture at the distal end of the elongated body to the proximal end. The tool further includes a main balloon adjacent to the distal end of the elongated body, and a second balloon spaced from the main balloon toward the proximal end of the elongated body, wherein the second balloon has an expanded condition in which it diverts one of the set of tissue approximating structures away from the main balloon.09-30-2010
