20090138477Updating Data on a Remote Device - Systems and methods, including computer software products, for updating data on a remote device involve defining multiple channels on a remote device, where each channel is associated with a predetermined type of content. Content updates for the channels are automatically delivered to the remote device, and an update frequency is identified for each channel. A most frequent update frequency among the multiple channels defined on the remote device is determined, and updates to the channels are requested according to the most frequent update frequency.05-28-2009

20090094105CONTENT EMBEDDED TOOLTIP ADVERTISING - Contextual advertisements embedded within content having tooltip type display functionality are provided where content can be evaluated for possible points for insertion of the advertisements. The content can be evaluated against a list of trigger points indicating advertisement should be inserted along with instructions to embed the advertisements. Using this information, the content can be modified to embed appropriate advertising. Upon returning the content, a viewer thereof can view the content normally, but certain events with respect to the trigger points can cause tooltip type display of the advertisement (such as hovering a cursor over the trigger point). In this regard, trigger points, such as keywords, having associated pop-up advertisements can be underlined or otherwise identified.04-09-2009
20090094260IMAGE-BASED WISH LIST POPULATION - Wish list creation and population is provided where users can associate one or more images as items in a wish list. To this end, an image can be provided, such as a photograph taken by the user, and analyzed to locate matching items and information related thereto. In this regard, the user can observe and desire to purchase an item without knowledge of specifics about the item. The user can then take a picture of the item and tag the picture for upload to their wish list. Matching can be provided to identify one or more items in the picture to facilitate retrieval of information related to the items. Also, items can be selected based on discerned characteristics of the picture in a design/fashion consultant context.04-09-2009

20100262506MOBILE CONTENT DELIVERY ON A MOBILE NETWORK - Embodiments related to mobile content delivery are disclosed. One disclosed embodiment provides a method of facilitating mobile content delivery on a mobile network. The method comprises receiving a purchase request from a network client at a mobile marketplace system; prompting the network client to provide a billing preference; receiving the billing preference from the network client at the mobile marketplace system, the billing preference indicating a billing party; authenticating a billing relationship between the network client and a mobile operator if the billing preference indicates the mobile operator as the billing party; authenticating a billing relationship between the network client and the mobile marketplace system if the billing preference indicates the mobile marketplace system as the billing party; and providing a mobile content item from the mobile marketplace system to the network client if the billing relationship between the network client and the billing party is authenticated.10-14-2010
20100262958SYNCHRONIZATION OF MOBILE DEVICE WITH APPLICATION - Embodiments related to synchronizing a state of a mobile device with a state stored of a mobile device application server are disclosed. One embodiment provides a method of synchronizing a state on a mobile device and a state on a mobile device application server comprising receiving a state change at the application server that changes a state relative to a state stored on one or more mobile devices, and storing the state change. Next, the method comprises receiving a request from a mobile device for information regarding any state changes that have occurred, sending a response notifying the mobile device of the state change, receiving from the mobile device an application manifest that gives a current state of the mobile device, updating the application manifest to form an updated application manifest that reflects the state change, and sending the updated application manifest to the mobile device.10-14-2010

20090036773METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ENGAGEMENT AND COUPLING OF AN INTRACAVITORY IMAGING AND HIGH INTENSITY FOCUSED ULTRASOUND PROBE - A combined imaging/HIFU probe includes an imaging scan head, a HIFU transducer, and an outlet port that delivers a flow of fluid across the HIFU transducer. At least a portion of the body cavity is filled with fluid in which the probe is immersed. The fluid provides a coupling for transmission of ultrasound energy between the probe and the patient. A flow of fluid may also be used to flush obstructions from an area of tissue near the HIFU transducer. Further described herein is a cuff to help retain fluid in the body cavity, a regulator to regulate fluid flow with respect to the body cavity according to a desired fluid pressure, and a cover for the HIFU transducer that has at least one perforation defined therethrough to allow fluid to flow through the cover. Further disclosed herein are methods of deploying a combined imaging/HIFU probe in a body cavity.02-05-2009
20090088636APPARATUS FOR DELIVERING HIGH INTENSITY FOCUSED ULTRASOUND ENERGY TO A TREATMENT SITE INTERNAL TO A PATIENT'S BODY - An apparatus for delivering HIFU energy may include a probe with a plurality of leaves that provide a bowl-shaped HIFU therapy transducer. In once case, pins may slide within grooves in the leaves to deploy the leaves. In another case, spines may be configured to slide in a channel defined in each leaf. In other cases, a spring or a shape memory alloy may be used to deploy the leaves. In another implementation, a probe may be fitted with a flexible material that couples the HIFU therapy transducer to the probe and allows the transducer to be drawn to the side of the probe for insertion. In another implementation, a probe may have one or more inflatable bladders that form the HIFU therapy transducer. In yet another implementation, a probe may have an imaging component and a HIFU therapy transducer disposed thereon that rotate, as a unit, about a hinge.04-02-2009
20090118725HEMOSTATIC TISSUE TUNNEL GENERATOR FOR INSERTING TREATMENT APPARATUS INTO TISSUE OF A PATIENT - A catheter for insertion into and treatment of tissue in a patient comprises a radio frequency (RF) electrode having an elongated body that conducts electrical RF energy to a conductive tip. An insulating sleeve surrounds the elongated body. In a first mode of operation, the conductive tip is exposed outside the insulating sleeve and the RF electrode delivers RF energy that erodes the tissue of the patient and creates a tunnel through which the catheter can advance into the tissue of the patient. In a second mode of operation, the insulating sleeve and/or the RF electrode is retracted and a second treatment apparatus treats the tissue.05-07-2009
20090118729HEMOSTATIC SPARK EROSION TISSUE TUNNEL GENERATOR WITH INTEGRAL TREATMENT PROVIDING VARIABLE VOLUMETRIC NECROTIZATION OF TISSUE - A catheter for insertion into and treatment of tissue in a patient comprises a radio frequency (RF) electrode having an elongated body that conducts electrical RF energy to a conductive tip. An insulating sleeve surrounding the elongated body prevents leakage of RF energy from the elongated body when the catheter is being inserted into the tissue of the patient. In a first mode of operation, the conductive tip is exposed outside the insulating sleeve and the RF electrode delivers first RF energy capable of producing sparks that erode the tissue of the patient and create a tunnel through which the catheter can advance into the tissue of the patient. In a second mode of operation, the insulating sleeve is retracted to expose a portion of the RF electrode. Second RF energy is delivered to the volume of tissue around the catheter to necrotize the tissue by heating without producing sparks.05-07-2009
20100210976METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING TISSUES WITH HIFU - A method for treating a desired volume of tissue using HIFU or other energy modality to ablate a pattern of elemental treatment volumes each having a volume that is greater than that of the focal zone of the HIFU transducer but smaller than the overall volume of the desired treatment volume. In one embodiment, the pattern of elemental treatment volumes are arranged to form a shell which partially or wholly encapsulates the desired volume of tissue, which then necroses in situ due to effects other than direct HIFU damage (including some combination of ischemia, thermal conduction, inflammation, apoptosis, etc.). The necrosed tissue remains in the body and is subsequently resorbed and/or healed via normal body mechanisms.08-19-2010
