20130120559 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INSPECTING SURFACES OF MINIATURE COMPONENTS - Systems and methods for inspecting capsules and capsule fill tube assemblies (CTFA) are provided. The 3-D Surface Mapping System (SMS) is used to generate 3-D surface information of each CFTA used in fusion ignition experiments. The CFTA includes a hollow capsule and an attached fill tube. This fragile CFTA's surface is inspected by using an optical microscope to gain volumetric information of particulates and surface defects at a sub-micrometer scale resolution. In order to completely inspect the entire surface of the CFTA the mechanical system requires multiple linear and rotational stages in addition to end effectors to safely hold the CFTA. By combining the optical microscope along with the mechanical system, a three-dimensional replication of the surface is generated providing information on surface feature defects and particulate sizes. | 05-16-2013 |

20150245843 | COIL OCCLUSION DEVICE - An occlusion device comprising a plurality of inner coils and a plurality of outer coils is described. When the device is deployed to a body vessel or a body cavity, it expands radially due to the material from which the outer coils are made. The inner coils function to occlude the vessel while the outer coils provide support. The device can be capped at both ends or may have a free distal end. A method of deploying the device is also provided. | 09-03-2015 |

20090270908 | DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OCCLUSION OF FLUID FLOW THROUGH A BODY VESSEL - The present invention provides an improved occluding device and an improved method of occluding fluid through a body vessel. The occluding device comprises an inner coil. At least one outer coil is disposed about a portion of the inner coil. The outer coil has a pre-curled tension to facilitate the outer coil to be curled within the lumen of the body vessel when deployed. | 10-29-2009 |
20100262221 | Graft with bioabsorbable support frame - The medical devices, such as stent grafts, described herein preferably include a tubular remodelable graft material attached to a support frame formed at least in part from a metallic bioabsorbable material. The remodelable graft material preferably includes an extracellular matrix material such as small intestinal submucosa (SIS). The support frame attached to the graft is preferably a bioabsorbable magnesium alloy. The devices may be implanted within a peripheral vascular body vessel from a percutaneous delivery catheter. | 10-14-2010 |
20150051586 | DOUBLE BAFFLE VASCULAR OCCLUDER - A vascular occluder includes first and second baffle members which are formed of an expansion device such as a stent across which extends an impermeable membrane. The baffle members are held at a given separation by spacer elements. The separation creates a chamber between the baffle members in which the blood is able to stagnate, thereby creating a second occlusion barrier. One of the baffle members may have an aperture within its membrane for receiving a delivery catheter for delivery of thrombogenic agent into the chamber. The occluder has a given length, thereby making it suitable for implantation in difficult vessel sections and is also able to avoid problems of recanalization of the vessel which can occur with prior art occluders. | 02-19-2015 |
20150105814 | VASCULAR OCCLUDER WITH CROSSING FRAME ELEMENTS - An occlusion device includes first and second crossing frame elements each of annular ring-shape, as well as first and second annular support elements connected to respective extremities of the crossing frame elements. The frame and support elements are provided with covers made of a substantially impervious material. The occluder may include a covering sleeve of stretchable material. The occluder substantially stops or reduces the flow of blood therethrough, creating blood statis and subsequent occlusion by clot formation within the occluder. The structure of the frame elements ensures good edge sealing and enhanced fixation of the occluder in a vessel as blood pressure impinges upon the covers of the occluder. | 04-16-2015 |

20090219983 | DATA COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT WITH EQUALIZATION CONTROL - An adaptive equalizer comprises an adjustable equalizer circuit that allows to enhance the frequency dependence of contents of the transmitted signals which suffer from losses in the connected transmission channel. A blind equalization tuning procedure is proposed that operates without knowledge about the characteristic of transmission channel. Phase positions of transitions in the equalized signal are detected. A digital post-processing circuit evaluates a measure for spread of the detected phase positions of transitions, accumulated over a plurality of the symbol periods. The digital post-processing circuit controls the adjustable equalizer, setting the adjustable equalizer to a setting wherein the detected spread is minimized. | 09-03-2009 |

20120030257 | SYSTEM AND METHOD OF SCREENING AND INTERVENING WITH INDIVIDUALS TO MODIFY BEHAVIOR - The present invention is a computer program product for modifying the behavior of an individual. The computer program product is a computer usable medium having a computer readable code embodied thereon. A first graphical user interface on a web server has a first template to be completed by a individual. The first template collects a first set of information regarding a particular behavior of the first individual. The computer program product analyzes the first set of information collected on a first database and compares the first set of information to a matrix which cross references the first set of information to a particular behavior. Computer program product then assigns a series of modules to the individual. The series of modules consists of steps which the individual must complete. The steps consist of an introduction video, vocabulary questions, a lecture, role play videos, peer to peer video, a post lecture, a shout back lab (opportunity for the individual to answer free form questions) and a quiz. The individual's answers to the quiz are stored as a second set of information in the first database. The second set of information can be reviewed by the administrator and reports can be compiled for the particular individual at issue or for multiple individuals. | 02-02-2012 |
