20110138047PROVISIONING SERVICES USING A CLOUD SERVICES CATALOG - The present invention provides a system and method for provisioning Cloud services by establishing a Cloud services catalog using a Cloud service bus within a Cloud computing environment. In one embodiment, there is a Cloud services catalog manager configured to connect a plurality of Clouds in a Cloud computing environment; maintain a catalog of integrated Cloud services from the plurality of connected Clouds; and display an index of the integrated services on a user interface. Using this system and method will allow for multiple disparate services, offered by different partners, across unrelated, physically distinct Clouds to be presented as an index of integrated services.06-09-2011

20110137805INTER-CLOUD RESOURCE SHARING WITHIN A CLOUD COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT - The present invention provides a system and method for establishing inter-Cloud resource sharing agreements and policies such that dynamic expansion/contraction of Cloud resource requests can be seamlessly addressed without requiring physical build-out of the primary Cloud infrastructure and advertising the need for additional resources or the offer to provide additional resources can be brokered through an established marketplace. The financial transaction will support a symbiotic bi-lateral fair-share method that better aligns with an alternating supplier/consumer business model. Using this system and method will decrease the amount of time needed to respond to a given Cloud service request while advantaging a resource sharing model amongst established Cloud providers.06-09-2011

20110265488ALTERNATE METHOD FOR DILUENT INJECTION FOR GAS TURBINE NOx EMISSIONS CONTROL - A method and system for gas turbine emissions management through delivery of a diluent fluid stream (steam, CO2, N2 etc) into a gas turbine combustion system while the gas turbine is operating on a conventional fuel such as light distillate oil or natural gas. The diluent injection system delivers required diluent-to-fuel ratios over the emissions compliance operating range of the gas turbine. The method for diluent injection is coupling the injection system to a gas turbine compressor discharge purge system, such that the diluent fluid is mixed with compressor discharge air. The mixed compressor discharge purge air and diluent stream are injected into the gas turbine combustor through a non-fueled combustion fuel nozzle passage to achieve emissions guarantee compliance.11-03-2011

20090252047DETECTION OF AN UNRESPONSIVE APPLICATION IN A HIGH AVAILABILITY SYSTEM - A method, information processing system, and computer program storage product for determining if an application has become unresponsive. Network traffic at a receiver node is monitored. The receiver node is determined to have generated a window probe response indicating a predetermined window size. A threshold associated with the window size of the receiver node is set in response to the receiver node having generated the window probe response. The window size of the receiver is determined to have been at the predetermined size for at least one of a time period greater than the threshold and a count greater than the threshold. An application associated with the receiver node is classified as unresponsive in response to the window size of the receiver node having been the predetermined size for at least one of a timer period greater than the threshold and a count greater than the threshold.10-08-2009

Network address assignment in a cluster multi-processing environment is monitored. A network address currently assigned to a first network interface is determined, in response to monitoring network address assignment, to have been assigned to a second network interface. The first network interface is triggered to send an update message to at least one computing node communicatively coupled to the first network interface triggering in response to determining that a network address currently assigned to a first network interface has been assigned to a second network interface. The update message informs the computing node to transmit data associated with the network address to the first network interface.10-08-2009
20090254775METHOD FOR ENABLING FASTER RECOVERY OF CLIENT APPLICATIONS IN THE EVENT OF SERVER FAILURE - A system and method are provided for improving recovery times in fallover conditions in a multinode data processing system by sending notification of the failure of a server node, which is acting as server for a client application running on a client node, to the client application. In the present invention, this notification is provided by the fallover node acting as backup for the server node. When a client application receives no response from a server for a long time, it assumes that the server has failed and initiates reconnection. The present invention speeds-up the reconnect initiated by the client application by having system level software proactively notify the client application about the server failure. This results in faster recovery for client applications.10-08-2009
