20110215942LADDER POSITION INDICATOR LIGHT MODULE - A flasher module, installable on a ladder, incorporates multiple high-intensity light-emitting diodes (LEDs), which are coupled to an electro-chemical power source (battery or single cell). The LEDs may be wired for a continuous “ON” condition, but are preferably connected to flasher circuitry. For maximum visible intensity, the flasher circuitry is designed so that all LEDs flash simultaneously about one to two times per second. A first embodiment flasher module is sized to install within the uppermost portion of a ladder rail of C-shaped cross section. A second embodiment module, which provides a larger viewing angle, incorporates the LEDs within a bar that is mountable beneath the uppermost rung of the ladder. Either embodiment of the invention may be equipped with a gravity-actuated switch, which will turn on the flasher circuitry whenever the ladder is deployed at an angle greater than 45 degrees from horizontal.09-08-2011

20080236969HYDRAULIC CYLINDER LIMITER - A limiter bracket, for restricting the stroke of a hydraulic cylinder, is formed from a U-shaped member having a central base portion and two opposing sidewall. The base has a semi-circular retention slot extending from an off center position centrally located detent within the base. The opening of the slot is asymmetrically located at an off center position along an edge of the base so that the rod of a cylinder is both horizontally and vertically displaced during positioning within the limiter. Once the rod is located in the detent of the limiter, a pivot pin is inserted through a connector at the end of the rod and the aligned attachment holes in the sidewalls securing the limiter to the rod. The end of the cylinder body will contact the base of the limiter during retraction of the rod thus limiting the overall stroke of the cylinder.10-02-2008

20100320185BAND HEATER SYSTEMS AND ASSEMBLY METHODS - A band heater assembly for heating an object includes a band heater that extends around at least a portion of a perimeter of the object. The band heater includes a cable and a band. The cable includes a resistive element, a first cable end and a second cable end. The resistive element generates thermal energy based on a current received from a power source. The first cable end and the second cable end are connected to respective ends of the band heater assembly. The band is connected to the cable and transfers a first portion of the thermal energy to an exterior surface of the object. At least a portion of the cable is exposed from the band heater to contact the exterior surface when the band heater assembly is connected to the object.12-23-2010
