20090301188Self-Calibrating Capacitive Transducer for Determining Level of Fluent Materials - A capacitive transducer for detecting the level of liquids and other materials has one or more antenna probes connected to an integrated chip normally associated with touch-screen displays. Each antenna probe operates independently and senses the level condition of wet or dry flowable materials such as water, oil, fuel, grain, and so on. The antenna probes may be formed as insulated conductive wires or conductive traces between layers of a stiff or flexible substrate, such as a PCB, with the substrate material serving as the insulating layers. Each antenna probe has a different length representing different depths of the material being measured to provide dynamic calibration of the level condition independent of the material type and ambient conditions.12-10-2009

20110101048BOOT JACK - A boot jack incorporating a storage compartment usable for storing shoe polish and other shoe apparatus. The boot jack may have a flat upper plate bearing a notch for receiving the heel area of a boot, and a soft liner to oppose scuffing of a boot. Right, left, and front side walls depend from the upper plate. A floor plate encloses the storage compartment within the upper plate, and the right, left, and front side walls. An openable closure such as a hinged door may be opened to reveal the interior of the storage compartment. The upper plate may be secured in place at an acute angle to the floor plate such that the storage compartment is wedge shaped. The upper plate may have a frictional liner for engaging the sole of a boot placed on the boot jack to stabilize the latter.05-05-2011

20100045377Switching Amplifier - A switching amplifier includes a modulator, which includes a pulse generator. The pulse generator generates positive and negative pulses, in response to an input signal, and the frequency of the negative pulses can be controlled independently of the frequency of the positive pulses. The positive pulses and negative pulses are combined to form a composite pulse stream, which can be low-pass filtered such that the filter output is an amplified version of the input signal.02-25-2010
