20080201315CONTENT ITEM QUERY FORMULATION - A system and method for formulating a related content query are provided. A search engine receives queries having terms for content items and stores the queries and user interaction data in a query log. Also, the search engine provides a collection of content items and related content item queries for each content item within the collection of content items, in response the queries. Each content item in the collection of content items includes terms that match the received queries. The related content item queries are generated by an advisor engine that processes the query log and each content item in the collection of content items to select query terms, different from the received query terms, which previously resulted in a specified content item being accessed or selected.08-21-2008

20090071721Drill core extractor - A system for extracting drill cores from a borehole. The system enables a semi-resilient sleeve-inserted in a housing—to be sealed about the circumference of a drill rod thereby allowing for upward backpressure against the drill core when activated. The system comprises: a housing assembly having sleeve retaining annular rings with edge treatment that forces outward displacement of the central region of the sleeve so as to ensure utmost clearance from a drill rod, which traverses said sleeve. The system thereby allows extraction of drill core samples without the time-consuming fishing method therefore increasing productivity by a substantial margin.03-19-2009

20100287638NEURAL TUMOR STEM CELLS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF - The present invention relates to the discovery that renewable stem cell lines can be derived from tumor cells and can be cultured in vitro. Accordingly, the invention provides neural tumor stem cell lines and cells from such cell lines. Because the cell lines retain characteristics of the tumors from which they are derived, the cells can be used in screening methods for identification of potential therapeutic agents and can be used to identify genetic markers which may be predictive for development of such tumors. Finally, such cells can be used to determine an appropriate therapeutic regimen for a patient suffering from a brain tumor. Cells from a patient's brain tumor can be cultured as described herein to create a cell line, and the relative effectiveness of a therapeutic agent against the cells can be tested to determine which agent or combination of agents is most effective in treating the patient's tumor.11-11-2010

In some embodiments, the systems include a plurality of radiation sensors. The three-dimensional position of the radiation source is estimated relative to each sensor using an aperture that casts shadows on a radiation detector as a function of the incident angle of the incoming radiation. In some embodiments, the ratio of a reference radiation intensity to a measured radiation intensity is used to estimate direction of the radiation source relative to the sensor. When the angular position of the radiation source is estimated relative to two sensors, the position of the radiation source in three dimensions can be triangulated based on the known relative positions of the two sensors.07-14-2011
