20090220640Method of Supplementing Animals with Carotenoids by Drinking Water - The present invention provides a method of supplementing animals with carotenoids by drinking water, comprising the following steps of: (1) making yellow and/or red pigments into the microencapsulated dry powders or beadlets; (2) mixing the aforementioned microencapsulated dry powders or beadlets in a certain proportion and dissolving them in water to prepare for a pigment solution; (3) administering the prepared pigment solution to animals by drinking. The method of supplementing the carotenoids according to the present invention has the advantages of easy absorption, economical dosages of pigments, high efficiency of coloration, stable coloration and small effects on the process of pigments in comparison with conventional methods currently.09-03-2009

20080203081VARIABLE THERMAL RESISTOR SYSTEM - A variable thermal resistance system having a hermetically sealed enclosure around a component. There may be a gap or space between the internal surface of the enclosure and the external surface of the component. A gas, such as a gas from a low vapor pressure solid placed on the internal surface of the enclosure or liquid on a porous internal surface of the enclosure, may fill the space or gap. The gas may have low thermal conduction at low temperatures and high thermal conduction at high temperatures. This may reduce an amount of energy required by a constant temperature maintaining mechanism for the component. At low temperatures less heat is conducted from the component and at high temperatures more heat is conducted from the component so as to reduce the heating and cooling requirements of the temperature maintaining mechanism.08-28-2008

20090003430Video Coding Using Spatio-Temporal Texture Synthesis - Systems and methods for video coding using spatio-temporal texture synthesis are described. In one aspect, a video data coding pipeline portion of the codec removes texture blocks from the video data to generate coded video data. The removed texture blocks are selected based on an objective determination that each of the remove texture blocks can be synthesized from spatio-temporal neighboring samples during decoding operations. The objective determinations are made using local block-based motion information independent of global motion models. An indication of which texture blocks were removed is provided to a decoder in addition to the coded video data. Decoding logic of the codec decodes the video data using a standard decoding algorithm. The decoding logic also restores the removed texture blocks via spatio-temporal texture synthesis to generate synthesized video data. The decoded and synthesized video data is presented to a user.01-01-2009
