EFFICIENT HANDLING OF MULTIPART QUERIES AGAINST RELATIONAL DATA - A query having multiple parts may be processed to form an intermediate results set. This intermediate results set may be partitioned into a plurality of groups. Thereafter, the groups may be sorted into a plurality of containers so that each container contains data sufficient to calculate one requested result in the multipart query. Related techniques, apparatuses, systems, and computer program products are also described. | 09-30-2010

AQUEOUS POLYMER DISPERSIONS - Aqueous polymer dispersions, which, in addition to water and a dispersed copolymer composed of at least two monomers selected from the group consisting of ethylene, propylene, butylene, isoprene, butadiene, styrene, acrylonitrile, acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, acrylic acid alkyl ester, methacrylic acid alkyl ester, vinyl ester, and vinyl chloride, also comprises a comb polymer having side chains that are bound to the main chain by ester or ether groups. The aqueous polymer dispersions are particularly suited for use together with hydraulic and latently hydraulic binding agents. The aqueous polymer dispersions are extremely efficient and result in a strong increase in the mechanical values and a relevant decrease in the porosity and the water absorption property. | 03-15-2012

Method and System for Mobile Device Credentialing - Methods and systems taught herein allow mobile device manufacturers to preconfigure mobile devices for subscription with any network operator having access to a centralized device directory server. The directory server stores device records, each including a preliminary subscription identity. Manufacturers individually provision new mobile devices with these preliminary subscription identities, and network operators preliminarily register subscribers by submitting requests to the directory server that cause it to link individual device records with the appropriate credential server addresses. Mobile devices gain temporary network access by submitting their preliminary subscription identities, which get passed along to the directory server for verification. In turn, the directory server generates authentication vectors giving the mobile devices temporary network access, and returns the appropriate credential server addresses. The mobile devices use the address information to submit secure requests for permanent subscription credentials, and the involved credential servers securely return permanent subscription credentials responsive to valid requests. | 10-23-2008

METHODS OF GENERATING EPITHELIAL LINEAGE CELLS FROM EMBRYOID BODIES AND PLURIPOTENT CELLS - Methods of generating p63-positive cells from embryoid bodies and pluripotent cells by culturing the cells in the presence of a retinoid and optionally a bone morphogenetic protein, such that the cells express at least p63. The p63-positive cells can be further cultured without the retinoid and optional bone morphogenetic protein to K14-positive cells. The K14-positive cells can be further cultured into various terminally differentiated cell types of the epithelial lineage. | 03-19-2009

Charbroiler with Even Heat Distribution - A gas-fired charbroiler includes one or more features to provide more even heat distribution on the cooking surface. Orifices that feed respective burners can have different sizes. A baffle structure may be included on the sides of the burners. Burners may be configured such that burner port flow area per unit length varies. | 09-11-2008
Cooking Griddle and Associated Gas Flow Control Arrangement - A cooking apparatus includes a housing and a cooking plate having an upper cooking surface for receiving food product and an opposite surface for being heated. First and second gas burners are located within the housing and below the cooking plate for heating the cooking plate and a pilot burner is provided. A non-powered mechanical thermocouple probe is located proximate the pilot burner and has a bi-metal element that produces an electrical signal when heated by flame from the pilot burner. A pilot shutoff valve has an inlet connected to receive gaseous fuel from a gaseous fuel manifold, a pilot output connected to deliver gas to the pilot burner, a main burner output connected to deliver gas to both the first gas burner and the second gas burner, and a thermocouple probe input connected to receive the electrical signal produced by the bi-metal element of the mechanical thermocouple probe. The pilot shutoff valve is biased to a default closed position in which gas is prevented from flowing both from the inlet to the pilot output and from the inlet to the main burner output. The pilot shutoff valve is held in an open condition when the electrical signal is received from the bi-metal element, the open condition permitting gas to flow both from the inlet to the pilot output and from the inlet to the main burner output. The pilot shutoff valve also has an associated pilot start button biased into a non-start position. When the pilot start button is manually moved to a start position the pilot shutoff valve permits gas to flow from the inlet to the pilot output and prevents gas from flowing from the inlet to the main burner output. | 09-24-2009
COOKING APPARATUS WITH THERMALLY SHIELDED TEMPERATURE SENSOR - A cooking apparatus includes a heating element and a cooking plate arranged and configured to be heated by the heating element, the cooking plate having a first surface facing the heating element and a cooking surface opposite the first surface. A thermostat is located proximate the first surface and associated with a heating element control. An insulating heat shield arrangement partially surrounds the thermostat and shields a shielded portion of the first surface adjacent the thermostat from direct heating by the heating element. The insulating heat shield arrangement is configured to provide a thermal resistance R | 10-01-2009
