20090166097Device for improving the accuracy of the touch point on a touch panel and a method thereof - A device for improving the detection accuracy of a touch point on a touch panel and a method thereof are disclosed. The device includes a plurality of first and second X external conducting wires and a plurality of first and second Y external conducting wires that are electrically coupled with the first X side and the second X side of the touch panel and the first Y side and the second Y side of the touch panel to alternatively and respectively receive a first detection signal and a second detection signal from a first detection signal source and a second detection signal source. By using the relation of the currents generated form the first detection signal and the second detection signal, a x coordinate and a y coordinate of the location of the touch point is obtained.07-02-2009
20100327881Control unit, sensing device for a capacitive touch panel and method therefor - A noise reducing device for a capacitive touch panel and a method of reducing noise for a capacitive touch panel are disclosed to solve problems related to noise generated by a conventional filter circuit and an integrating circuit or external noise. In the invention, at least one switch circuit is used so that the conventional filter circuit and integrating circuit used in the prior are omitted. Signals output from a current measurement circuit are transmitting to a control unit to calculate the location of a touch point, reducing any noise.12-30-2010

20090044988DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING FUNCTION REPRESENTED BY CONTINUOUS RELATIVE MOTION BETWEEN/AMONG MULTITOUCH INPUTS ON SIGNAL SHIELDING-BASED POSITION ACQUISITION TYPE TOUCH PANEL - Described is a device and method for determining a function represented by a specific continuous relative motion between/among multitouch inputs on signal shield-based position acquisition type touch panel. The method comprises the steps of acquiring a minimum and maximum ordinate and abscissa values between/among the multitouch inputs; forming a rectangle based on the minimum and maximum ordinate and abscissa values; monitoring a sequential variation of an contour of the rectangle; and determining a gesture associated with the specific continuous relative motion of the multitouch inputs based on the sequential variation of the rectangle and relating the gesture to the function.02-19-2009
20090058818DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING TOUCH POSITION ON SENSING AREA OF CAPACITIVE TOUCH PANEL - Described is a device and a method for determining a touch position on a sensing area of a capacitive touch panel. In the device and method, an alternating current (AC) scan signal having a frequency and a current value is supplied to each of four corners of the capacitive touch panel. Next, the frequencies of the AC scan signals are each rapidly switched among a group of specific frequencies. The current values of the AC scan signals detected. In response, a group of selected frequencies is selected according to a noise filtering procedure from the group of specific frequencies based on the current values. Final current values are obtained by calculating the current values of the AC scan signals of the group of selected frequencies. Finally, the touch position on the capacitive touch panel is determined based on the final current values.03-05-2009
20100007629METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CAPACITIVE SENSING - This invention discloses a capacitive sensing device. The device includes a plurality of first conductive lines electrically isolated from each other; a plurality of second conductive lines electrically isolated from each other and electrically isolated from and stacked with the first conductive lines to form a plurality of intersecting points; and a plurality of electrical conductors electrically isolated from each other and correspondingly crossing the first and the second conductive lines and being around the intersecting points, wherein the first and second conductive lines and the electrical conductors are electrically isolated from each other. By doing so, when an electrical signal is driven to any first conductive line, the first conductive line is capacitively coupled to the second conductive lines with which it intersects, and the electrical conductors crossing the first conductive line are respectively capacitively coupled to the first conductive line and the second conductive lines which intersect with the first conductive line to provide a higher compound capacitance.01-14-2010

20100007631Touch Method and Device for Distinguishing True Touch - This invention discloses a touch device for distinguishing true touch. The touch device includes a touch screen, a driving unit, and a sensing unit. The touch screen has a plurality of first conductive lines and second conductive lines where the first and second conductive lines are electrically isolated from each other and stacked to form a plurality of coupling intersections. The driving unit operatively drives the first conductive lines. The sensing unit determines the first conductive lines touched or approached by a plurality of objects and also determines the coupling intersections touched or approached by the objects when the first conductive lines touched or approached by the objects are driven. By doing so, the true touch and the false touch caused by the objects can be determined and distinguished.01-14-2010

20090211817TOUCH PANEL DEVICE OPERABLE BY MULTIPLE USERS AND A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE TOUCH PANEL - A touch panel device has a capacitive touch panel, a current sensing unit, a control unit and a switch. The control unit computes a coordinate of a press position based on current changes occurring at all corners of the touch panel, and provides an AC signal being output through multiple output terminals of the switch in turn. When the AC signal is applied to different users and then conducted to the touch panel, the control unit recognizes which user is pressing the touch panel. Therefore, the touch panel device has the capability of being operated my multiple users.08-27-2009
