20090158851METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AIR-COUPLED TRANSDUCER - An air-coupled transducer includes a ultrasonic transducer body having a radiation end with a backing fixture at the radiation end. There is a flexible backplate conformingly fit to the backing fixture and a thin membrane (preferably a metallized polymer) conformingly fit to the flexible backplate. In one embodiment, the backing fixture is spherically curved and the flexible backplate is spherically curved. The flexible backplate is preferably patterned with pits or depressions.06-25-2009

20100018535GEL CUSHION PAD FOR MASK - The present invention is a gel cushion that is placed on a user's nose bridge before putting on a ventilator mask. The gel cushion is composed of a tacky gel material, such as a viscoelastic polymer gel. The gel cushion is wider than the edges of the ventilator mask and remains in place even if the mask is repositioned. The gel cushion adapts to the user's face in the area on and around the nose bridge to cushion and seal the ventilator mask in that area.01-28-2010

20090056759Method and system to remove coke from a coker drum - The present invention is a method to remove coke from a coker drum. The invention includes the steps of impinging fluid from a fluid jet on the inside surface of the coker and then determining the vibration signal of the coker drum. The signal is then transformed to determine the amplitude versus frequency by a Fourier Transform of the vibration signal. The amplitude change of the vibration signal as it goes through a maximum, determines when the coke layer has been cut. The fluid jet is lowered into a new layer of coke.03-05-2009
20090119244Bootstrap method for oil property prediction - The present invention is a method to determine models to predict physical or chemical properties of a petroleum fluid when such properties of such fluids cannot be measured by conventional analytical methods. The invention includes the steps of determining one or more models that predict one or more predetermined properties from a set of oils whose optical spectra and properties are known wherein a model corresponds to each predetermined property which is related to the spectrum, estimating the quality of the models, estimating the predictive quality for samples with unknown properties, augmenting the spectrum with shape parameters and/or properties that are predicted by the step above, and determining the quality and predictive quality of the models. The models are then used to predict properties of very small samples.05-07-2009
20110294656HYDROPROCESSING CATALYSTS AND THEIR PRODUCTION - Described herein is a catalyst precursor composition comprising at least one metal from Group 6 of the Periodic Table of the Elements, at least one metal from Groups 8-10 of the Periodic Table of the Elements, and a reaction product formed from (i) a first organic compound containing at least one amine group, and (ii) a second organic compound separate from said first organic compound and containing at least one carboxylic acid group. A process for preparing the catalyst precursor composition is also described, as is sulfiding the bulk mixed metal oxide catalyst precursor composition to form a hydroprocessing catalyst.12-01-2011
20110294657HYDROPROCESSING CATALYSTS AND THEIR PRODUCTION - Described herein is a catalyst precursor composition comprising at least one metal from Group 6 of the Periodic Table of the Elements, at least one metal from Groups 8-10 of the Periodic Table of the Elements, and a reaction product formed from (i) a first organic compound containing at least one amine group and at least 10 carbon atoms or (ii) a second organic compound containing at least one carboxylic acid group and at least 10 carbon atoms, but not both, wherein the reaction product contains additional unsaturated carbon atoms, relative to the first or second organic compound, wherein the metals of the catalyst precursor composition are arranged in a crystal lattice, and wherein the reaction product is not located within the crystal lattice. A process for preparing the catalyst precursor composition is also described, as is sulfiding the catalyst precursor composition to form a hydroprocessing catalyst.12-01-2011
