20090086277METHOD AND APPARATUS OF ADDING PAGES TO AN IMAGE DATA FILE TO BE SENT OVER A NETWORK - A method for sending an image data file over a network is herein described. In the method, the first device stores an image data file including a plurality of pages. The first device may receive the image data file from an access device via a network. The first device determines if the image data file has at least one tag. The at least one tag identifies a location for including at least one substitute or additional page within the plurality of pages of the image data file. The substitute or additional page(s) is scanned to generate image data comprising the substitute or additional page(s). The image data is then included at the location in the image data file identified by the tag. The image data file, with the substitute or additional page(s), is then sent from the first device to a second device via a network.04-02-2009

20090083366SECURE DOCUMENT TRANSMISSION - A method and apparatus transmits an item that is in electronic form over multiple networks. The method begins by receiving the item that is to be electronically transmitted. The method separates the item into at least a first fragment and a second fragment, transmits the first fragment over a first network to a receiving device, and transmits the second fragment over a second network to the receiving device. After the receiving device receives all the different fragments, it combines the first fragment and the second fragment to reproduce the item.03-26-2009
20110051713FACSIMILE PRIORITIZATION WITHIN INTERNET PROTOCOL CALL NETWORKS - A method and apparatus maintain a facsimile number priority hierarchy within a computer storage medium and process a first facsimile call being transmitted through a computerized call processor. The first facsimile call is made between a first telephone number associated with the computerized call processor and a second telephone number not associated with the computerized call processor. While processing the first facsimile call, the computerized call processor receives an indication of an attempt to connect a second facsimile call between the first telephone number and a third telephone number. The third telephone number is not associated with the computerized call processor. The method and apparatus determine a priority between the second telephone number and the third telephone number based on the facsimile number priority hierarchy. If the second telephone number has a higher priority than the third telephone number, the computerized call processor does not connect the second facsimile call. However, if the third telephone number has a higher priority than the second telephone number, the computerized call processor terminates the first facsimile call and connects the second facsimile call by connecting the third telephone number to the first telephone number.03-03-2011

20110168899DETECTOR ASSEMBLIES AND SYSTEMS HAVING MODULAR HOUSING CONFIGURATION - A detector assembly includes an elongate structure and a scintillation detector. The elongate structure defines a detector cavity having an axial dimension extending along a longitudinal axis. The scintillation detector is disposed at least partially within the detector cavity. The detector system can also include a cabinet which can be coupled with an end of the elongate structure, and which can define a cabinet cavity for retaining a junction board, a display screen, a microprocessor unit, and/or other components. The detector assembly can have an explosion-proof rating. A detector system including the detector assembly and a detector unit is also provided, such as for use in applications requiring an explosion-proof rating.07-14-2011

20090069084System and Methods for Monitoring and Controlling the Actions of an Avatar in a Virtual Environment - An Internet-based computer application displayed on a multimedia video display system that records and compiles statistics based upon the interactions of an avatar, representing a gamer, within a virtual environment. The avatar is able to act in the virtual environment by controlling, manipulating, operating, or otherwise interacting with objects and other avatars within the virtual environment. Within the virtual environment, an avatar is presented with pre-determined options controlled by variables set by the computer application for each possible interaction. The actions of the avatar are recorded in at least one database. The application can compile the data and provide summary statistics regarding the avatar's performance within the virtual environment. An interface screen can be used to view the summary statistics and alter the variables to change or adjust the options available to an avatar for interaction with objects in the virtual environment.03-12-2009
