20120248253MULTI-BODY DYNAMICS METHOD OF GENERATING FUEL EFFICIENT TRANSFER ORBITS FOR SPACECRAFT - A method of generating orbital transfers for spacecraft. The method provides an innovative technique for transferring spacecraft from one Earth orbit to another Earth orbit using significant solar gravitational influences. In one particular implementation, the multi-bodies in the transfer determination are the Earth (about which the spacecraft is to orbit) and the Sun (e.g., the Earth and the Sun are the first and second celestial bodies providing multi-body dynamics). The transfer orbit or trajectory is determined to make use of efficient tangential maneuvers by leveraging solar gravitational influences to improve transfer performance. Based on the generated transfer orbit, the spacecraft is controlled to perform one or more maneuvers to achieve a transfer orbit that traverses into a regime where the spacecraft's trajectory is significantly affected by gravity from both the Sun and the Earth. The spacecraft performs a near-tangential orbit insertion maneuver to enter the final orbit.10-04-2012

20080319857Managing content resources - Content resources are managed. A request is received from a user for access to a source of content resources. It is determined that the user is authorized for access to the source. A portal Web page is generated based on a set of content element data applicable to the subscriber. The portal Web page is returned to the user. A system for use in managing content resources has a switch for receiving requests from Web browsers, a content resource management engine in communication with the switch, and a billing system in communication with the content resource management engine.12-25-2008

20110249070Thermal transfer printhead and printing system using such a printhead - A printhead and print system is provided that includes a printer and a control unit connected by a cable. The printhead has a printed circuit board that is modified to include a digital thermometer having a non-volatile memory programmed with the printhead resistance. The control unit reads the printhead resistance directly from the printhead which improves print quality and eliminates the need for manual entry of the printhead resistance when the printhead is replaced. The modified printhead also uses fewer wires in the cable, allowing the cable to be made thinner and more manageable, and increasing the accuracy of temperature measurements conveyed thereover.10-13-2011

20100307259APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE TENSILE BOND STRENGTH OF A DENTAL MATERIAL - An apparatus and method for determining the tensile strength of dental materials utilizing a mould. The dental material is placed in the mould and is adhered to a surface. The mould containing the dental material is then engaged with a pulling device which subjects the mould to a measured force to disengage the dental material from the surface. This provides a measure of the tensile strength of the dental material.12-09-2010
