20080273751Detection and Tracking of Moving Objects from a Moving Platform in Presence of Strong Parallax - Among other things, methods, systems and computer program products are described for detecting and tracking a moving object in a scene. One or more residual pixels are identified from video data. At least two geometric constraints are applied to the identified one or more residual pixels. A disparity of the one or more residual pixels to the applied at least two geometric constraints is calculated. Based on the detected disparity, the one or more residual pixels are classified as belonging to parallax or independent motion and the parallax classified residual pixels are filtered. Further, a moving object is tracked in the video data. Tracking the object includes representing the detected disparity in probabilistic likelihood models. Tracking the object also includes accumulating the probabilistic likelihood models within a number of frames during the parallax filtering. Further, tracking the object includes based on the accumulated probabilistic likelihood models, extracting an optimal path of the moving object.11-06-2008
20090244267Method and apparatus for rendering virtual see-through scenes on single or tiled displays - A system for displaying an image on a display includes a display for displaying an image thereon. A three dimensional representation of an image is obtained. The three dimensional representation is rendered as a two dimensional representation on the display. An imaging device is associated with the display. The location of a viewer is determined with respect to the display. The rendering on the display is based upon the determining the location of the viewer with respect to the display.10-01-2009
20090245696Method and apparatus for building compound-eye seeing displays - A display includes an integrated imaging sensor and a plurality of pixels. The imaging sensor integrated within the display includes a plurality of individual sensors each of which provides an output. The output of each of the individual sensors is processed to generate an image. The resulting image has a greater depth of field than the depth of field of one of the individual sensors.10-01-2009
20090324079Methods and Systems for Region-Based Up-Scaling - Aspects of the present invention are related to systems and methods for region-based up-scaling, and in particular, for up-scaling still images and video frames that contain graphical elements.12-31-2009
20100110069System for rendering virtual see-through scenes - A system for displaying an image on a display includes a display for displaying an image thereon. 20100141552Methods and Systems for Imaging Device and Display Interaction - Aspects of the present invention are related to systems and methods for composite wall display and imaging device interaction.06-10-2010
20100321388Temporal parallax induced display - A temporal parallax induced display includes the presentation of different views of a scene. The system likewise uses a model of the human visual system to modify the image to reduce the rocking artifacts.12-23-2010
20110074933Reduction of viewer discomfort for stereoscopic images - A method for modifying images for display on a three dimensional display includes receiving a first image and a corresponding second image which together represent a three dimensional image when displayed on the three dimensional display. Based upon the first and second image, the method determines whether their content is expected to cause substantial discomfort to a viewer when displayed on the three dimensional display. At least one of the first and second images are modified based at least in part on a physical value related to the pixel pitch of the display, in such a manner to reduce the expected discomfort to the viewer.03-31-2011
20110115766Energy efficient display system - A method for displaying an image on a display includes receiving a two dimensional image to be displayed on the display. The two dimensional image may be modified using a non-photorealistic technique and the contrast is reduced. At least one of the modifying and reducing is based upon a power usage factor. Also, the system may modify the power usage based upon audio, presence, smart meters, and brightness preservation.05-19-2011
