If the biometrics testing indicates that the individual is required to be tested for impairment, the mechanical device will not operate until the testing is completed. If the biometrics testing automatically indicates that the operator of the mechanical apparatus and the individual exhaling into the breath alcohol analyzer component of the ignition interlock is not the same person, the ignition system of the mechanical apparatus, which operates in conjunction with the ignition interlock of the present invention, provides a programmable software option to prevent the apparatus from starting. In some embodiments, the improved color mixing is provided, in part, by the white ceramic package casing, which can help reflect light emitted from each LED in many directions away from the device. The non-linear arrangement of the LEDs can also contribute to improved color-mixing. The improved structural integrity can be provided by various features in the bond pads that cooperate with the casing for a stronger package structure. Moreover, in some embodiments the thinness/low profile of each package is attributed to its leadless structure, with the bond pads and electrodes electrically connected via through-holes. In some embodiments, the structural integrity of the package can also be attributed to indentations along its sides, which do not enable as much plating material to accumulate at the sides and helps package cutting processes during manufacture. The device contains a plurality of sensors, a control unit and a display unit. The different types of sensor obtain values of different environmental parameters. The control unit receive the obtained values of the environmental parameters and compare the obtained values against predetermined standards and criteria which define parameter ranges of the different environmental parameters. A display unit display a real-time air quality report comprising a user-friendly interpretation of the obtained values and recommendations in response to the obtained values. By implementing this invention into an embodiment, the environmental monitoring analyzing is carried out instantly by considering the interrelationship of the obtained values of the different environmental parameters.
