20100325354MECHANISM TO HANDLE EVENTS IN A MACHINE WITH ISOLATED EXECUTION - A platform and method for secure handling of events in an isolated environment. A processor executing in isolated execution “IsoX” mode may leak data when an event occurs as a result of the event being handled in a traditional manner based on the exception vector. By defining a class of events to be handled in IsoX mode, and switching between a normal memory map and an IsoX memory map dynamically in response to receipt of an event of the class, data security may be maintained in the face of such events.12-23-2010

20100242860Pet Information Wallet - The pet identification wallet is a non-rigid wallet designed to wrap around a pet's collar. The wallet has a large buttonhole in it, allowing the metal “D” ring on the collar to pass thru the wallet for external leash or lanyard attachment. The identification wallet allows for the lengthy and detailed amounts of owner and pet information required in today's information society. The industry standard metal pet tags/licenses, which are usually required by law to be affixed to the collar's “D” ring, wrap up and become encapsulated inside the wallet keeping them from falling off, wearing out, and making noise. The outside of the wallet has a clear plastic sleeve and/or name placard where reflective material having the pet's name printed on it is slid inside the clear outer sleeve or affixed, making the pet easily identifiable and safer at night.09-30-2010

20080241480Diamond films and methods of making diamond films - The present invention provides films and substrates coated with films that comprise a nano-crystalline diamond matrix that is substantially free of graphite inclusions. The present invention also provides a method of chemical vapor deposition to prepare the films. The method of chemical vapor deposition operates at a DC bias voltage that substantially precludes the formation of a plasma ion capable of causing a region of a nano-crystalline diamond matrix within a forming film to allotrope when the plasma ion collides with the film.10-02-2008

20100317629DISSOLVABLE PHARMACEUTICAL IMPLANT - A pharmaceutical implant may include a pharmaceutical and at least one excipient, and may be configured to be implanted in a body of a patient. The at least one excipient may dissolve after implantation of the pharmaceutical implant in the body of the patient and release the pharmaceutical. In some examples, the pharmaceutical implant includes at least two pharmaceuticals. The at least one excipient may be selected to provide a desired release profile of the pharmaceutical. For example, the pharmaceutical implant may be configured to dissolve and release the pharmaceutical over a length of time between about one day and about 30 days. In some examples, the pharmaceutical implant may be implanted in the body of the patient proximate to an implantable medical device.12-16-2010

20090140449Process for Producing a Hyper-Elastic, High Strength Dilatation Balloon made from Multi-Block Copolymers - A self-wrapping dilatation balloon comprising a multiblock copolymer having high elasticity and elastic recovery from nominal strains greater than about 30% is described. Also described herein, is a polymeric extrudate for making a dilatation balloon comprising a multiblock copolymer having tensile strength in the range of about 50 MPa to about 450 MPa, strain at break in the range of about 50% to about 600% and substantially complete elastic recovery from nominal strains of at least about 30%. The extrudate has phase-separated microdomains that are macroscopically aligned in parallel, perpendicular, transverse or a combination thereof. Also described herein is a process for producing a polymeric extrudate for use as a dilatation balloon. The process comprises extruding a multiblock copolymer mixture or composition to form an extrudate. The extruding is done such that the extrudate has phase-separated microdomains that are macroscopically aligned in parallel, perpendicular, transverse or a combination thereof. After extrusion, the process optionally comprises the steps of drawing and coagulating the extrudate.06-04-2009
20100320634Process for Producing a Hyper-Elastic, High Strength Dilatation Balloon Made From Multi-Block Copolymers - A process for producing a dilatation balloon by extruding a multiblock copolymer composition to form an extrudate comprising phase-separated glassy, rubber, and semicrystalline microdomains that are macroscopically ordered in a perpendicular alignment. The balloon formed by the process demonstrates, during inflation, a true stress vs. nominal strain response curve comprising a first zone representative of a low modulus balloon, a second zone representative of a high strength balloon, and a sharp transition from the first zone to the second zone.12-23-2010

20110139691PRESSURIZED WASTEWATER EFFLUENT CHLORNIATION SYSTEM - A pressurized wastewater effluent chlorination system including a treatment tank defining a contact chamber and an aeration chamber. The treatment tank receives wastewater effluent. The system includes a pressure vessel within a liquid chlorine storage container positioned in or near the treatment tank. Preferably, the pressure vessel is a floating vessel having a check valve at its bottom, enabling the vessel to fill with a predetermined amount or measured charge of chlorine depending on the position of a float on the vessel. In response to a timer control or float switch, a valve operates to communicate air pressure from a compressor to the vessel to displace the measured charge of liquid chlorine into the wastewater effluent in the contact chamber. Effluent flow and air discharge into the contact chamber enhances mixing of the chlorine and the effluent.06-16-2011

20100030466System and Method for Hybrid Off-Board Navigation - A system, method and apparatus for hybrid off-board vehicle navigation are disclosed. In the system, a multi-stop route package is created and sent from a route server to a navigation device. The route package can include a collection of vehicle attributes and corresponding road restrictions for guiding the vehicle towards its destination. The server can optionally push the route package to the vehicle in an email message or other stored communication. When an off-route condition is detected, the navigation device can send a route request to the server that includes the vehicle attributes and the corresponding road restrictions. The server can respond with a partial route correction that is determined based on the vehicle attributes and road restrictions.02-04-2010

20090255390SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING PHYSIOLOGICAL MATERIAL ON SURFACES OF CUT MEAT - A system and method for reducing physiological material on surfaces of meat cut transferred to surfaces of cut meat by an endless band saw blade is disclosed. The system includes a water jet manifold positioned adjacent the saw blade and having a first and second nozzle orifices formed therein, the first and second orifices operable to be placed in fluid communication with a source of water. The first nozzle orifice is operable to direct a first water jet substantially across and into a first side surface of the saw blade and a second nozzle orifice is operable to direct a second water jet substantially across and into a second side surface of the saw blade. Together, the first and second water jets direct a sufficient volume of water onto the saw blade to remove residual physiological material and to deposit a layer of water onto the first and second side surfaces of the saw blade, which layer of water acts as a lubricant to reduce the residual physiological material that adheres to the saw blade and thereby reduces the residual physiological material transferred to the surfaces of cut meat by the saw blade.10-15-2009
