20150322488 | Instrument for Monitoring Polymerase Chain Reaction of DNA - An optical instrument monitors PCR replication of DNA in a reaction apparatus having a temperature cycled block with vials of reaction ingredients including dye that fluoresces in presence of double-stranded DNA. A beam splitter passes an excitation beam to the vials to fluoresce the dye. An emission beam from the dye is passed by the beam splitter to a CCD detector from which a processor computes DNA concentration. A reference strip with a plurality of reference emitters emit reference beams of different intensity, from which the processor selects an optimum emitter for compensating for drift. Exposure time is automatically adjusted for keeping within optimum dynamic ranges of the CCD and processor. A module of the beam splitter and associated optical filters is associated with selected dye, and is replaceable for different dyes. | 11-12-2015 |

20150261866 | DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING COMMUNICATIONS - Devices, systems and methods facilitate communications, such as those for political organization, processes, and presence. For example, the devices, systems and methods allow individuals to participate or observe the formation of processes and groups to meet goals. When used in a political process, users or group organizers can search for topics that lead to specific information about legislation, movements, coalition, groups, and other concerns. Using this information the user can join the groups or form new groups and establish communications for the groups. | 09-17-2015 |

20150286791 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR UPLOADING AND SHARING MEDICAL IMAGES WITHIN TRUSTED HEALTH-USER COMMUNITIES - Systems and methods of sharing medical images through a secure, HIPAA-compliant social network construct (CarePod) between two or more members of the CarePod are disclosed. A first user may communicate remotely with a CarePod that is created and associate with a patient having medical treatment in order to initiate the sharing of medical image(s) of a patient If the first user is not a member of the CarePod, the system may add the first user as a member of the CarePod through a verification/authentication process. Once authenticated, privileges of the first user may be set with respect to certain actions that the first user may perform with medical images. Medical image(s) may be shared asynchronously or streamed substantially in real-time—e.g., possibly to aid medical procedures that are occurring. | 10-08-2015 |

20120277543 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR UPLOADING AND SECURING HEALTH CARE DATA FROM PATIENTS AND MEDICAL DEVICES TO TRUSTED HEALTH-USER COMMUNITIES - Systems and methods of uploading patient medical and/or physiological data to the patient's associated CarePod are disclosed. Devices that are capable of sensing patient medical and/or physiological data are disclosed that are in authenticated and secure communication with the patient's CarePod. Doctors and other caregivers may be able to analyze the patient medical and/or physiological data in near real-time basis. Other devices, systems and methods are disclosed to provide authenticated and secure therapeutic treatment in possibly a closed loop system. Other devices, systems and methods are disclosed to guard against the inadvertent misdirection of patient medical and/or physiological data between medical devices and the patient's CarePod. | 11-01-2012 |
20120278095 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CREATING AND MANAGING THERAPEUTIC TREATMENT PROTOCOLS WITHIN TRUSTED HEALTH-USER COMMUNITIES - Systems and methods of creating, managing and accessing treatment plans for patients having a condition are disclosed herein. Patients have CarePods created for the treatment of their condition and their doctors and other caregiver relevant to their treatment. In one embodiment, treatment plans may be constructed by a plurality of modules that may input data and metadata regarding the condition, the treatment, potential medications, potential medical monitoring equipment. Such treatment plans may be employed as a template for other CarePods and other patients. In other embodiments, data from the treatment may be collected to inform caregivers the response of the patient to treatment. In addition, data from the treatment of a condition may be aggregated from a plurality of patients being treated for a condition. This aggregated data may be used to deduce the efficacy of a particular treatment to a condition. | 11-01-2012 |
20120278101 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CREATING TRUSTED USER COMMUNITIES AND MANAGING AUTHENTICATED SECURE COMMUNICATIONS WITHIN SAME - A system and method of creating trusted communities of users and managing communications by and between said trusted users are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system is depicting implementing a medical treatment plan for a set of patients wherein said communications between users, such as physicians and patients, are secure, HIPAA-compliant and sufficiently versatile to enable such communications via known networking infrastructure. | 11-01-2012 |
20120278103 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR UPLOADING AND SECURING HEALTH CARE RECORDS TO TRUSTED HEALTH-USER COMMUNITIES - Systems and methods of uploading image files of sensitive documents are disclosed to at least one trusted community of users. The trusted community may be an automated care pod used by medical providers to treat a patient. The image files may comprise the individual's patient records. A request for uploading may be made to the care pod and the care pod may generate a unique identifying symbol which is sent back to the sender. The care pod or managing system may receive the image file with the unique identifying symbol embedded or associated with the image file. In another embodiment, an automated extractor/verifier may process the uploaded image data and extract user information. Said extracted user information may then be compared against patient information associated with the care pod. If extracted information and patient information do not match, an error flag may be sent. | 11-01-2012 |
