20110002077Systems And Methods For A User Interface For Electronic Weaponry - An apparatus, according to various aspects of the present invention, produces contractions in skeletal muscles of a target to impede locomotion by the target. The apparatus is used with a provided deployment unit that deploys an electrode away from the apparatus. The electrode conducts a current through the target. The apparatus includes a terminal; a producing sub-system for producing an electric arc to warn the target without conducting a current through the target; a conducting sub-system for conducting the current in series through the terminal and through the target; an initiating sub-system for initiating deployment of the electrode; and an operator interface. The operator interface facilitates selecting one or more cartridges of a set of cartridges to provide a stimulus signal to a target and/or display an arc.01-06-2011
20110063770SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ELECTRONIC WEAPONRY THAT DETECTS PROPERTIES OF A UNIT FOR DEPLOYMENT - An electronic weapon, when combined with a unit for deployment, causes skeletal muscle contractions in a human or animal target. According to the present invention, a launch controller for an electronic weapon includes a detector, a stimulus signal generator, and a switch. When the switch is conducting, it completes a circuit in combination with a unit for deployment. The circuit, when completed, operates a propellant of the unit for deployment to deploy at least two electrodes of the unit for deployment to enable the stimulus signal generator to deliver through the target a stimulus current to incapacitate the target by causing contractions of the skeletal muscles of the target. The detector is coupled to the switch and detects whether the switch is conducting prior to combining the unit for deployment and the electronic weapon.03-17-2011

20090323248SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LOCAL AND REMOTE STUN FUNCTIONS IN ELECTRONIC WEAPONRY - An electronic weapon system includes a terminal for a local stun function, a deployment unit for a remote stun function, and a barrier, removal of which during deployment enables a circuit for the remote stun function that includes the terminal. A method performed by an electronic weapon includes: (a) enabling a stimulator of the weapon to provide a current; (b) in response to a first operator control of the weapon, and when proximate to target tissue, passing the current through a first circuit that includes the target tissue; (c) blocking a second circuit of the weapon with a barrier of the weapon; (d) in response to a second operator control of the weapon, propelling an electrode of the weapon to a remote target, reducing blocking by the barrier, and passing the current via the second circuit that includes the electrode and the target tissue; and (e) in response to a second operation of the first operator control, and if proximate to target tissue, passing the current through the target tissue via the first circuit instead of passing the current through the second circuit, and if not proximate to target tissue, passing the current via the second circuit through the electrode and through the target tissue.12-31-2009

20100181496IN-SITU PLANT ANALYSIS APPARATUS, METHOD FOR TRACKING THE STATE OR EVOLUTION OF A CULTURE AND METHOD FOR MANAGING VEGETABLE PROCESSING - A device for analyzing plants, by luminous excitation and fluorescence measurement, can be used on site without preparation of the plants. The device evaluates the content of a compound in the skin or epidermis of a plant. The geometry of the device is characterized by a direction of the excitation light rays and a direction of the fluorescence light rays which are non-collinear with each other. The device includes several sets of emitters of different wavelengths, each including several emitters, and makes it possible to measure a plurality of excitation-fluorescence combinations. A method for evaluating and monitoring the development and maturity of a crop, as well as a method for monitoring and controlling plant treatment are also described.07-22-2010
20100184117METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CHARACTERIZING A PIGMENTED BIOLOGICAL TISSUE - Method for determining the content of a non-fluorescent chromophorous first compound, in a biological tissue including a fluorescent chromophorous second compound, the method includes at least one iteration of the following operations: 07-22-2010
