20100085189Anti-theft method and device - The invention comprises of a method and alarm device used to prevent metal theft from irrigation systems. The alarm device attaches to a plurality of electric conductor such as copper wiring that is in need of protecting and the preexisting irrigation system circuit. The alarm device detects voltage in the irrigation system circuit and if there is no voltage signals from the irrigation system circuit, then the alarm device automatically breaks the original circuit and inserts itself into the irrigation system circuit. The alarm device then sends a low voltage, low current down the plurality of electric conductors and the plurality of conductors then become part of a circuit that energizes a magnetic switch located in the alarm device. A breach of integrity of the plurality of conductors such as by physical detachment triggers an alarm condition which lead to audio and visual alarms plus activating an automated dialer.04-08-2010

20120000077Folding knife with non-snagging automatic pocket clip - A folding knife with retractable pocket clip that moves in an arc between retracted and deployed positions generally within the same pivot plane as a pivotally folding blade and whose movement between retracted and deployed positions is coordinated through direct contact with the blade so that the clip is automatically deployed for use as the blade is pivoted into a storage position and automatically retracted when the blade is pivoted to a position for use. The pocket clip is configured to be uniquely sheltered from snagging hazards and to secure the folding knife to a pocket by means of a unique retentive characteristic resulting from localized tension advantageously generated along the pocket edge and maintained by compression exerted upon the body of the knife as it rests within the pocket.01-05-2012

20110135450CHAMFER-FILLET GAP FOR THERMAL MANAGEMENT - An apparatus and method is disclosed herein in which a heat-transfer fluid can be directed through a gap defined between a fillet and a chamfer. The apparatus includes a first member having a body portion and a flange portion projecting from the body portion. The flange portion extends along an endless path encircling an axis to define a receiving aperture. A fillet is defined at a junction of the body portion and an inner surface of the flange portion. The apparatus also includes a second member having a plug portion receivable in the receiving aperture. The plug portion includes a first surface operable to abut the body portion and limit movement of the plug portion into the receiving aperture. The plug portion also includes a second surface slidably engageable with the inner surface of the flange portion to guide movement of the plug portion into the receiving aperture along the axis. A chamfer is defined at a junction of the first and second surfaces such that a gap is defined between the fillet and the chamfer when the plug portion is received in the receiving aperture. The apparatus also includes at least one passageway extending at least partially through at least one of the first member and the second member. The at least one passageway extends between the gap and an opening spaced from the gap. The at least one passageway is operable to receive a heat-transfer fluid to transfer heat relative to the fillet.06-09-2011
