20090235618SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CARD REPLACEMENT - A system for assembling a shipping package includes a feeder feeding an envelope from a supply of envelopes and a transport mechanism that transports a shipping container from a supply of shipping containers and places the shipping container in position for the feeder to insert the envelope into the shipping container. The envelope contains a replacement presentation instrument and a shipping indicator, and the shipping indicator includes a shipping address visible through a first substantially clear window in the envelope. Each shipping container has a second substantially clear window, and when the envelope has been inserted into the shipping container, the shipping address is visible through the second substantially clear window.09-24-2009
20110215144ADVANCED CARD MERGE MACHINE - Advanced card machines and associated card merge methods are provided. A form may be provided from a first supply of forms to a first track that is configured to advance the form. A foldable payment card may be selected from a second supply of foldable payment cards, wherein the selection of the payment card does not result in the payment card being folded. The selected payment card may be advanced, without folding the payment card, along a second track to a position in which the payment card is supplied to the form Additionally, an adhesive may be applied to one of the form or the payment card, and the adhesive may attach the payment card to the form when the payment card is supplied to the form.09-08-2011

20100075700Flexible capacity short message service center (SMSC) - The present invention takes the advantages of a First-Delivery-Attempt (FDA) system/Short Message Service Center (SMSC) combination. The FDA/SMSC combination has the advantages of SS7-clustering and IP load-distribution, and adds call-flow and business logic to eliminate the disadvantages created in stand-alone architectures using those technologies in isolation. All messages can be addressed to a single destination, with the FDA/SMSC combination performing load distribution for delivery of the messages. Nodes can be added to the message processing system to increase capacity, with no configuration changes being required in an SS7 network or an external IP network.03-25-2010

20090049407SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SCROLLING THROUGH A LIST - A system and method for scrolling through a list uses control and display algorithms for scrolling through a long list of text strings. The control algorithm interfaces to the user via a rate-based scheme to switch the display through various levels of abstraction where higher levels of abstraction are displayed “in-situ” on the single-line display. These higher levels of abstraction display as starting characters or words that are common to a group of entries in the alphabetized list. Multiple levels of abstraction are supported, where lower levels of abstraction are displayed as longer strings of characters, representing smaller groups of entries in the given list of text strings. Higher levels of abstraction are displayed as shorter character strings. The rate of user movement is detected for the display to change to a previous or next item in the list if below a predetermined threshold while increasing the abstraction level if the user rapidly selects different options.02-19-2009
