20090079437System for isolating faults between electrical equipment - A system is disclosed that can be inserted between cable runs of electrical equipment so as to provide access to signal/data lines associated with the electrical equipment. The system includes a microprocessor and a matrix switch and preferably display equipment and measurement instrumentation. The microprocessor controls the matrix switch so as to route signals to a high impedance probe array that then feeds data to measurement instrumentation. The system provides pattern analyzers, which are resident in the microprocessor routine software. The measurement instrument provides measurement quantities, timing, and patterns that may be compared to known good data to ascertain the state of the health of the electrical equipment. The system is also capable of blocking signal paths and providing known good signals to the associated electrical equipment. Test data is stored in memory for later retrieval and the display equipment provides a pass, fail or intermittent indication.03-26-2009

20110273632VIDEO DISPLAY WITH DETACHABLE INPUT/OUTPUT CONSOLE - A flat panel video display comprising a separable and removable cartridge comprising connectors and/or circuitry of the input/output electronics that can be removed from the video display. The input/output (and optionally the A/C power) circuitry is enclosed in the cartridge, which can be inserted into and removed from a similarly shaped cavity in the case of the video display. Both the cartridge and cavity have corresponding channels allowing the cartridge to slide properly into place while preventing incorrect insertion of the cartridge. Once fully inserted into the cavity, all electronic connections are made between the circuit board (and optionally A/C power) in the cartridge and the rest of the video display are made allowing the video display to function normally. The cartridge body has a latching mechanism tensioned by a spring allowing it to lock into place. The latch is disengaged by depressing a button on the exposed side of the cartridge, allowing the cartridge to be removed. The lip of the cartridge around the depressed button can serve as a handle to pull out the cartridge. If A/C power is integrated into the cartridge, the latch can activate a switch that breaks the connection of the hot wire and the neutral (leaving the ground connected) cutting power to all electronics in the cartridge and video display and preventing a potentially harmful arc while removing or inserting the cartridge.11-10-2011

20090319562CANVAS APPROACH FOR ANALYTICS - The claimed subject matter relates to an architecture that can construct a map for summarizing analyses with respect to data included in a database. In addition, the architecture can display the map in a special canvas area. Generally, the map is a hub-and-spoke-style map in which a hub is associated with an entity (e.g., a related set of records) included in a database. Likewise, the spokes are typically representative of operations (e.g., filter, join, transform) that act upon the hub/entity from which it extends. The map can aid with open-ended analysis on complex databases by recording and ordering competing hypotheses and can also further collaborative efforts with respect to analysis.12-24-2009
20090322755DECLARATIVE APPROACH FOR VISUZLIATION - The claimed subject matter relates to an architecture that can support a declarative model-based approach to designing, constructing, and rendering visualizations. By complying with a declarative descriptor, components can be readily customized by way of modifications to the model—declaratively specifying suitable features, behaviors, appearances and so forth. The descriptors that conform to the model can also facilitate connecting to various data sources and performing data transformation operations. Moreover, the descriptors that conform to the model can declaratively specify relationships based upon a scene layout. Accordingly, the architecture can further describe the scene layout and provide features based upon the layout.12-31-2009
