A question is received over a network from a questioning user comprising an identification of a user and at least one question criteria. A first query is formulated so as to search, via the network, for user profile data, social network data, spatial data, temporal data and topical data so as to identify user context data relevant to question criteria. The question is modified using the user context data to create at least one modified question having at least one additional criteria based on the user context data. A second query is formulated so as to search, via the network, for knowledge data, user profile data, social network data, spatial data, temporal data and topical data so as to identify knowledge data relevant to the identified user and the modified question criteria. The knowledge data is transmitted, over the network, to the questioning user.06-10-2010

20080280294Inherited Mitochondrial Dna Mutations in Cancer - A method is provided for identifying a subject likely to have, or at risk of developing a disease condition correlated with increased reactive oxygen species (ROS), including cancer, by identifying in the subject a missense mutation in a nucleic acid of Complex III, IV and/or V of the OXPHOS system. This invention also provides a method of identifying a likelihood of having a heritable predisposition to cancer by detecting a homoplasmic missense mutation in non-tumor tissue of an OXPHOS system gene. This invention also provides a method for detecting likelihood of having cancer, predisposition to cancer, and likelihood of passing a predisposition to cancer to progeny involving identifying in non-tumor tissue of the subject a missense mutation in a complex III, IV and/or V gene of the mitochondrial OXPHOS system. The mutation may be a nuclear or mitochondrial mutation. The invention has been exemplified with respect to prostate cancer. When the mutation is homoplasmic in non-tumor tissue this is an indication it is an inherited and inheritable trait, and that the subject is likely to pass on the mutation to her progeny in the case of mutations in mitochondrial DNA or his or her progeny in the case of mutations in nuclear DNA. Both homoplasmic and heteroplasmic mutations in non-tumor tissue can indicate the presence of cancer.11-13-2008

20090084842AUTOMATED SUBMISSION OF PREPAID PROGRAMS - A payment system includes transaction handler that processes transactions, each characterized by a consumer and a merchant engaging in a sales transaction involving a prepaid program having prepaid cards, such as a gift card, that an issuer provides to consumers. A method for establishing a prepaid program includes the issuer remotely accessing a computer system at the transaction handler. The computer system presenting the issuer with a program information form on which the issuer enters requested data. As each data item is entered, the computer system checks for errors, which are identified to and corrected by the issuer in real time. The issuer submits the data as a request to create a prepaid program, which the transaction handler reviews and responds by approving or rejecting creation of the prepaid program. The transaction handler electronically communicates approval or rejection of the prepaid program to the issuer.04-02-2009
