20110291322METHOD OF REDUCING ACETALDEHYDE IN POLYESTERS, AND POLYESTERS THEREFROM - Acetaldehyde production in a polyester may be reduced by using a formulation which comprises an acetaldehyde scavenger and a phosphorous additive. The two materials appear to act synergistically in reducing acetaldehyde production. Preferred formulations comprise anthranilamide and phosphorous acid and are used in combination with aluminium or titanium catalysed PET resins.12-01-2011

20110203684DEVELOPMENTS IN OR RELATING TO A CONDENSATE RECOVERY SYSTEM - A condensate recovery system may comprises a plurality of drain lines for draining condensate from an associated steam plant. Each drain line may incorporates a steam trap and feeds into a common condensate return line running between the drain lines and a condensate receiver tank. The system further may comprises an acoustic sensor positioned along the common condensate return line, upstream of the receiver tank, for providing an acoustic output indicative of the collective steam loss through steam traps upstream of the sensor.08-25-2011

Patent application numberDescriptionPublished
20110213573FLOW METER - A flow meter for monitoring fluid flow through a pipeline, the flow meter comprising a conduit having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet for communication with respective sections of the pipeline; a target element positioned inside the conduit between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet, the target element being mounted for resilient axial displacement under a pressure differential between the inlet and the outlet; an arm secured at an anchor point on one side of the conduit and extending radially across the conduit, the target element being coupled to the arm for applying a load to the arm, upon said axial displacement of the target element, so as to deflect the arm relative to the anchor point; a sensor arrangement for measuring deflection of the arm at a point on the opposite side of the applied load to the anchor point; and a processor configured for providing a signal representative of the steam flow through the conduit in response to said measured deflection.09-01-2011

20080269075Method and Device to Optimize Analyte and Antibody Substrate Binding by Least Energy Adsorption - The present invention provides a method of making an assay device for conducting an assay to detect a concentration of an analyte in a sample fluid. The assay devices would typically have a substantially planar surface having a series of site specific immobilized calibration spot arrays containing pre-determined quantities of the analyte printed thereon. In addition, a series of site specific immobilized test spot arrays, including capture antibody for binding the analyte protein is printed on the assay device. The method involves first modifying the planar surface to provide hydrophobic binding sites, hydrophilic linking and covalent bonding sites. Then the method requires printing the series of site specific immobilized test spot arrays and the series of site specific immobilized calibration spot arrays on the substantially planar surface. Applying the sample fluid to the assay device is the next step followed by testing a sensitivity of the assay and modulating ratios of the hydrophobic, hydrophilic and covalent binding sites in order to optimize the sensitivity of the assay.10-30-2008
