20090161302DEPLOYABLE DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE - A vehicle has a personnel compartment including a necessary driving volume. A deployable display apparatus provides a plurality of visual display units to a vehicle. The vehicle has a personnel compartment including a necessary driving volume. At least one display housing is provided. Each display housing is configured to support at least one visual display unit. The visual display unit is configured to selectively provide visual information to an operator. At least one mounting arm has spaced-apart first and second arm ends. The first arm end is stationary relative to a base surface. The second arm end is attached to the display housing. The mounting arm is configured to selectively move the display housing between stowed and deployed positions such that at least one display housing, when in the deployed position, at least partially occupies the necessary driving volume, and the display housing, when in the stowed position, is wholly outside the necessary driving volume.06-25-2009

20100264094METHOD OF DEVELOPING A RAPIDLY SETTLING ALGAL FLOC - Rapidly settling algal strains are selectively developed through a method that is based on manipulating the velocity of a host liquid. In one embodiment, the method includes the steps of providing a uniform flow velocity to the liquid, thereby promoting development of one or more algal strains; stopping or at least reducing the uniform flow velocity; removing the upper portion of the water, including any suspended algal strains; providing a second uniform flow velocity to the liquid, which may be the same as the flow velocity that was applied during the first step; stopping or at least reducing the second uniform flow velocity; and removing the upper portion of the remaining liquid, leaving a residual liquid amount that includes one or more rapidly settling algal strains in the form of a rapidly settling algal floc or of a precursor thereof.10-21-2010

20110078020SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING POPULAR AUDIO ASSETS - Systems and methods for providing audio asset information are presented. A media guidance system includes a data store containing audio asset information associated with a set of known audio assets. The media guidance system receives a number of requests to identify an audio asset embedded within a video program from a first group of users and stores an indication of the requested audio asset within the data store. The media guidance system then provides audio asset information associated with the requested audio asset to a second group of users.03-31-2011
20110078172SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUDIO ASSET STORAGE AND MANAGEMENT - Systems and methods for providing audio asset information using an audio asset information storage system are provided. The storage system includes a data store containing video program information associated with a video program that embeds the known audio asset. The storage system receives a number of requests to identify the known audio asset and stores an indication of each request within the data store. The storage system provides at least a portion of audio asset information associated with the known audio asset to user equipment.03-31-2011
20110078726SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATICALLY GENERATING ADVERTISEMENTS USING A MEDIA GUIDANCE APPLICATION - Systems and methods for automatically generating advertisements using a media guidance application are provided. In some embodiments, an advertisement database is searched to identify a stored advertisement for display in an advertisement display region of a media guidance application display screen. Upon determining that the advertisement database does not include a suitable stored advertisement, a new advertisement may be generated for display in the advertisement display region.03-31-2011
20110078729SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING AUDIO CONTENT USING AN INTERACTIVE MEDIA GUIDANCE APPLICATION - Systems and methods for identifying audio using a media guidance application where a video program that includes one or more audio assets is received by user equipment. The user initiates a request to identify an audio asset playing within the video program and the audio asset is identified by processing data associated with the audio asset and data within a database of audio asset information associated with a plurality of known audio assets. The audio asset information associated with the identified audio asset is then provided to a user interface for display.03-31-2011

20090060468Systems and methods for recording popular media in an interactive media delivery system - In many aspects, systems and methods for recording popular media among a subset of users of an interactive media delivery system using interactive media guidance applications are provided. The systems and methods for recording the popular media generally relate to determining and selecting for recording the popular media according to popularity criteria.03-05-2009
20090235298SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SYNCHRONIZING TIME-SHIFTED MEDIA CONTENT AND RELATED COMMUNICATIONS - A method for assigning attributes to media content. A media content is first displayed on a television, computer, or other display. A communication created by a user while viewing the media content is then received. The communication is then analyzed, and at least a portion of the communication is linked to a portion of the media content. The communication is also analyzed to identify relevant keywords which are then saved as attributes of the media content. The assigned word or phrase can be used to recommend the media content to other viewers or to find the media content in response to a search function. A method for synchronizing communications with time-shifted media content is also disclosed. A media content such as a television program is displayed during a time period other than its original broadcast time. Communications created by users while watching the media content are then received. The received communications are time-stamped so they can be synchronized with the run-time of the media content. The communications may be analyzed to select and display targeted advertising.09-17-2009
20090249400SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING ON-DEMAND MEDIA CONTENT - A media guidance application having a media content search function is implemented on a plurality of user equipment devices. Search-related communications from users are received and analyzed to identify a media content not currently available via the media guidance application. Once a media content has been identified from at least a threshold number of search-related communications, the media content is offered via the media guidance application. An alert or notice may then be sent to users of the media guidance application, and especially those users who requested the media content, to notify them of the availability of the media content.10-01-2009

20110121857ASYNCHRONOUS DIGITAL CIRCUITS INCLUDING ARBITRATION AND ROUTING PRIMITIVES FOR ASYNCHRONOUS AND MIXED-TIMING NETWORKS - Asynchronous digital circuits are described, including arbitration and routing primitives for asynchronous and mixed-timing networks. An asynchronous arbitration primitive has two data inputs and one data output. A mutual exclusion element is used to select the first-arriving data request from one of the two inputs to the output. A asynchronous routing primitive has one data input and two data outputs. The incoming data is routed to one of the two outputs based on a routing bit accompanying the data. The primitives use handshaking with request and acknowledge signals to ensure that data is passed when neighboring circuits are ready to receive or send data.05-26-2011
